Brian Marwood
Isn't Marwood more of an "administrator" (so like a CEO type role) than a hands-on football man? That said, titles mean very little - it's what you actually DO that matters.

What we need is someone talented and connected to identify players for the 1st team AND the academy
We also need an experienced football administrator to get the deals done and NOT let us end up in another Maja situation
(oh and a Manager who isn't out of is f***ing depth)

Marwood feels like a McMenemy repeat to me. Old stager coming back for one last payday before retirement. Would far rather have someone who’s nearer the start of their career than the end.

Encouraged that they’ve got an outside recruitment firm helping though. Was horrified by the idea of that f***ing dope in the dugout being on the final interview panel for the academy job.

Once the takeover is completed the first appointments will set the tone, if they aren’t progressive or inspired then I fear it maybe same old same old.
I’m prepared to be excited tho
Only one chance to make a first expression as the saying goes.
is this the same pargauayan river plate gustavo poyet used to support as a lad?
Same shirts as Paraguay and SAFC. White n red vertical hoops.

I wonder if Claudio Reyna has been considered.

Ex Player, knows the area.

Speaks three languages including Spanish would be handy for negotiations with the River Player lot. French which would be handy for the Liege mob.

Experience as a SD working in the City Group with New York City in the SD role during a very successful time for the club. So knows how to please mega rich and very expectant owners.

Then moved to Austin FC to build a club from scratch from top to bottom. Which is basically what we need apart from the facility aspect. So clearly doesn’t mind a challenge and left a cushy job in which he excelled to start from nowt again.

Ticks a lot of boxes. Just a thought while a was waiting for the kettle to boil.

There will be change like but i just think anyone thinking the old regime will have influence are deluding themselves

Satori is basically just bringing a mate in. Just like Donald did with the 2 other idiots at the club

Seen nothing to get remotely excited about personally

Take off the depressive lens and look - sartori doesn't knock round with 22 yr olds man. This is investment and decision makers that have taken over a club with zero income. Amazing really

That’s a cracking shout. He can bring his son if he likes....

More thinking in that than SD has done for SAFC during his tenure: an outside the box contender but Austin to Sunderland in November would be a big ask!!

i'd play him ahead of power and dobson for a start

L'Equipe saying it's down to 4 candidates to get the role as sporting director at the club. New people have been interviewing and the new sporting director will be English or Scandanavian. My guess is Steve Mclaren will rock up here.

Hope not... Big Sam, with SKP head coach

If he’s so committed to a challenge, would he want to leave Austin quite yet? They don’t even enter the MLS until next year.
