Another utterly piss poor day of Test cricket for England. Headingley style miracle needed to get a result now.
 
We're not out of this just yet. Skittle the rest of the order out for another 70-80 runs, which is possible (but not probable) and I'd like to think the batting line-up would not be so atrocious when chasing around 250.

What I'd like to think, and what will probably transpire, are two entirely different scenarios.

We don’t look like that at all to be fair.

This is a team notorious for batting collapses and lo and behold it’s happened again. The bowlers have been fine, it’s just rubbish batting that has us in this position. Very little to do with anything else, our batsmen aren’t the best sadly.

Aye that’s fair enough, would definitely agree we haven’t had enough proper practice for this game. Most of these players played both warm up games though so not sure how much you can blame the sickness bug.

I am not saying its soley responsible like, the issues in the side are clear

just think we looked like a side playing out first proper game in a while, big differnece between a first class game and a 15 aside

not saying we'd have won, but preparations have been the opposite of ideal, I'll judge them at the end of the series thats all I am sayimg.
