Songs you don't hear any more at football

Around the time of the Yorkshire Ripper:

Me brothers in borstal, me ma's got the pox.
Me sisters a hewer down Hartlepool docks.
Me uncles a pervert, me aunties gone mad.
And Jack the Rippers me dad !

Just remembered this about an hour ago and now I cant stop singing the fucker, its catchy :)
It was a mainstay of the Long neon Branch Cricket and football teams in the 80s and 90s. Great song.

" We've a nasty reputation for soliciting little boys,
And for raping old age pensioners and for pinching kiddies toys
We're the perverts of the nation,
The biggest ***** you've ever seen,
We're a shower of foul mouthed b******s we're the boys from Sunderland "

I remember this being sung after the Milk Cup final defeat to Norwich at Wembley in 1985, and it remains one of my most proud and emotional moments of being a Sunderland fan in my whole life.

Sure there's a video of us singing it at Wembley 1973. Commentator says "Oh would you just look at that - that is real support for you"

He flies through the air with the greatest of ease that black and white bastard they call Wyn Davies.

You'll never take the Fulwell, you'll never take the Fulwell.

Geordies here geordies there geordies every f***ing where, la la la la la la la la.

Geordie aggro, Geordie aggro.

AG AGR AGRO AGGRO

Have you noticed the amount of tribalism, hatred and violence in our old songs ?
Today fans just want to make respectful gestures to other fans , respect everything and try to make out they are more respectful than the other set of fans .
Whilst sitting down.
The game has changed .

"The Roker"
then drowned out by
"The Fulwell"
(Rivalry between the two ends in the absence of away fans)

"They're singing a song we don't know why - coz after the match they're going to..."
(To the hardy band of away fans at RP early 80s if they dared to make a sound)

"We're the barmy Roker Army tra la la la la la"
(As we marched through towns and cities across the land)

I always enjoyed the chant of "scab, scab, scab, scab" to Notts Forest referring to the miners strike. I must confess I was disappointed it wasn't revisited earlier this season.

Gary Rowell world is aired occasionally but not enough for my liking
Number 1 is Gary Rowell
Number 2 is Gary Rowell
Number 3 is Gary Rowell
Etc

It will down there shortly I reckon. Gary Rowell gets aired every away game. Usually in the concourse pre-match.
