We can yes, undoubtedly. I dont think we will however. We missed a big chance last night to turn in a better performance and effectively swing it our way.

Our problem have been draws obviously. In 14 matches since Portsmouth, we haven't lost a single one. The issue is that we've only won 6. 8 draws is too many.

I mean the likes of Oxford twice, Scunny, Blackpool Accrington, Shrewsbury.... you have to be beating them to go up.

Plenty of games left so it's still possible to win the league. Luton will take some catching but Barnsley are our realistic target to finish above - it will be very close between us.
I think we will finish 2nd or 3rd with an equal chance of either.

You agree and then you don't?
 Looks pretty clear to me???

We're looking as though we've ballsed up automatic promotion.

I expected automatic promotion, so I can't agree that we've done better than expected.

We draw too many games, the manager needs a mind set change or it’s the play offs at this rate.
Too many league 1 plodders = too many seasons in league 1.

Where will they drop points?

Three biggest chances to me are their visits to Doncaster, Plymouth and Bristol Rovers. Their home games all look eminently winnable though I think there'll be a slip in one of them somewhere.

The thing is can we take advantage? In truth, I see nothing to suggest we can. I'd expect to win more than we don't and I'd only expect 1 defeat at the most. But we coast through large parts of games, often giving ourselves about 20 minutes to win it. Barnsley are in your face all the time, we don't do that.

The draws unfortunately look set to cost us. I cannot see us winning enough to overhaul Barnsley unless they implode and that looks unlikely.

It's been a better season than I expected but I suspect we are heading for the play-offs.

I hope I'm wrong.
There are plenty twists left in this season. It's not impossible we could catch Luton

The lack of creativity, and ultimately goals, will let us down.
An obvious thing to say, but we really miss Maja’s ability to not only make his own chances but to convert them into goals.
I really don’t fancy us to win in the play-offs either.

Play offs now realistically.

We don’t even look like threatening the top two and haven’t done for weeks now - very frustrating.

Thing is we’ve barely been in the top two this season. Been a pantomime cock a bit too much. The games in hand piece will do for us I think. By the time we’ve played Portsmouth in the cup we could be 15points adrift of Luton and 10on Barnsley. Mentally that’s too much

30 points to play for. Barnsley blew it last night, bottle job imo. Said to me dad they won’t score 2nd half after they didn’t take advantage of the wind. They should have been 2-0 up.

We can but that game in hand is crucial, and even if we win that it’s still out of our hands now. My gut feeling at this point is that we’ll blow it though, not because we didn’t win last night because a draw down there is a canny result and means we’ve taken 4 points off them, but because we didn’t capitalise on those previous games in hand when we had that run of home games and got too many draws out of them.

That said if Barnsley lose at the weekend and we win I’ll be more than happy for this post to be bumped and called a raging fanny as the balance of power will have shifted in our favour once again.

Well, as all the draws are reminiscent of Poyet, bring him home so that he can engineer an escape from the playoffs with a handful of games to go :)

We'd need Grigg to be scoring a goal a game . The loss of Maja and the absence of Maguire will keep us third

It's possible we will, but I'm resigned to 3rd which is way better than I envisaged at start of the season.
There will be a daft result here and there so it depends who is affected by them.
Safc don't have the attacking prowess of Barno, and Ross' decision making continues to baffle me.
We will beat Charlton in PO final - written in the stars.
