Didn't he reach the same final a few seasons back, too ? I might have gotten that wrong.

I'd love to see Holger win. And clay is his favourite surface so who knows.

Watching Holger play can be so very frustrating though. In his semi-final against Sinner yesterday when he did the Medvedev thing with his finger at his lips hussing the crowd, I said out loud to the telly: 'Oh, grow up !'. But somehow the crowd's reaction seemed to turn his play around and he played better after that.

I hope it stays dry today. Rain delays annoy me.
Yeah he lost to Tsitipas in the final in 2021.

Rune will have too much for him, I can’t see him not winning this.

"It's always the umpire that makes me look like a bad guy!" I love watching Rune but he needs to relax  when pretty much the entire crowd wants Djokovic to win you should probably realise it might be at least something to do with you and not just the umpire.

Djokovic v Rune matches are like watching the biggest super villain of all time vs the up and coming super villain that wants to overthrow him and take over the world.

How far back was this?
Poor injured Thiem
Poor injured Zverev
Poor injured Sinner
Poor Felix

BO5 and Djokovic still wins, think he only gets stopped at the French if he gets a rough draw I.e
Nadal, Rune, Sinner/Tsitispas then Alcaraz in the final

edit - Not playing French Open and most likely won't be playing Wimbledon either judging by that. At least he's still going I guess but that's really still quite sad.

The great man is going to retire at the end of next season.

Another French Open and Olympic Gold medal to add to his collection.
Sad day and will be even sadder when he does call it quits but think this is a smart decision from Rafa to try and get say8 tournaments at his best next year before riding into the sunset.
Australia, Barcelona, Rome, France, olympics, Wimbledon, Cincinnati, US
