Players must be desperate for him and Rafa to follow Fed and hang up their rackets. 65 majors in careers that have massively overlapped shows the dominance of three greats.
16 of the last 19 slams between rafa and djokovic
Cant see anybody stopping him matching Federers record at Wimbledon this year.
Think Nadal, Alcaraz, Tsitsipas, Ruud, Rune A fully fit Zverev and Thiem have a good to outside chance at the French of stopping him.
Medvedev, Alcaraz, Rune, fully fit Zverev and Thiem probably his only threats at US open

It’s madness he is going to end up with more Wimbledon titles than Federer despite peak Federer being by far the superior grass player, shows how weak this current era is on grass. His Wimbledon and US open record is the wrong way round really for what it should be.

Fed won first one at Wimbledon in 2003 so that should mean 65 out of 78 won by three of them in 20 years.
Outside of the big 3
Australia - since 2006 Only Wawrinka once has won
French - since 2005 only Wawrinka once has won
Wimbleldon - since 2003 only Murray twice has won

Absolute domination for 16 years, cant think of a team or individuals with that level of longevity at the top

9 finals at the US, lost to Federer, Murray, Nadal x2, Medvedev, Wawrinka

Djokovic is still so far ahead of everyone it’s unreal really, he will win the French if Rafa isn’t fit, his biggest competition at Wimbledon is a 36 year old Rafa who will more than likely be injured anyway. If he’s allowed in America he should win that as well really although his record there is poor really by his own usual standards. I know it’s a very weak generation of tennis but for him at 35 to be so far ahead of everyone Is still ridiculous.
why is his record at the US so poor when he's so dominant in Australia, they're both hard courts? Are there significant differences in the surfaces?

Different types of hardcourt but the US open in general is a funny one , it has had a fair few first time slam winners and winners that have won slams nowhere else. No player has dominated the US open since Federer won his 5th in a row in 2008. Think the fact it is at the end of a long hard season is a big factor in that .

Tournament with probably the most money in the sport and yet every year they have some of the worst courts on tour. There's clay courts faster than this.

Watching Andy Murray play here against clay courters or big hitters has been 15+ years of pain.

Draper beats Evans in straight sets and Raducanu progresses also in straight sets. If Murray gets through, he faces Draper in a British generational battle. Norrie obviously into the last 32 already. Draper's win seems significant and Raducanu is a momentum player. It's either Siniakova or Haddad Maia for Raducanu next, both of whom are beatable.

Legit think that's one of the best points I've ever seen

I hope these two play 40+ times over the next decade.
Going to be a great rivalry over the next ten years Sinner Alcaraz, they are going to be so far ahead of the field once Novak retires. That US open match could have gone either way and had Sinner won he would have won the whole tournament .I just hope neither of them stop Novak getting the slam record.

If yesterday's two semi-finals are anything to go by today's final should be interesting.

Holger is the first teenager to reach the Monte Carlo final since Nadal apparently. A win will move him up to sixth in the rankings, overtaking his opponent today. I hope he keeps a cool head.

He’ll easily beat Rublev. I’m surprised Rublev has got to a masters series final on clay.

Didn't he reach the same final a few seasons back, too ? I might have gotten that wrong.

I'd love to see Holger win. And clay is his favourite surface so who knows.

Watching Holger play can be so very frustrating though. In his semi-final against Sinner yesterday when he did the Medvedev thing with his finger at his lips hussing the crowd, I said out loud to the telly: 'Oh, grow up !'. But somehow the crowd's reaction seemed to turn his play around and he played better after that.

I hope it stays dry today. Rain delays annoy me.
