Seen Anisimova play? As far as I know, I've never even seen the name before. Had no idea who she was when I looked at the draw, was even more confused when she was 1/3 on to win her match.

Yeah mate. Watched her win the US Open girls final last year against another American who was just 13/14. Saw her a bit last week as well in the IW 125 warm up challenger where she lost to Errani in the semi finals - she thrashed Broady en route. Big things are expected of her in the future, but those odds would definitely have been reflected by Parmentiers current form which is awful.

Seems a bit unfair on Watson!

In true WWE style, her partner turned heel and abandoned her making it a 2 on 1 handicap match.

Will Cameron Norrie's match be on Sky later?

Konta lost again, 6-7 4-6 to 18 year old Vondroussova. If she goes out early in Miami later this month then she will drop out of the top 20.

Some encouraging results for the youngsters. Obviously the above score. Osaka beat Radwanska in straight sets as did Sabalenka over Kutznetsova, so those 3 into the last 32. Anisimova (16), Bellis (18), Zhuk (18) and Bencic (20) also came through their first round matches against much older opponents.

Really interesting tournament so far with the comebacks of Serena and Azarenka, the emergence of some of the aforementioned young'uns and then obviously your established mainstays of the tour over the past 18 months or so as well. Bencic vs Ostapenko on BT now.

On channel 407 now mate. Down 5-2* in the first set vs Taro Daniel

Serena v Venus at Indian Wells of all places. Can't imagine either thought that would ever happen again after what happened all those years ago.

Gabi Taylor doing very well @JL1985. Just won her 4th title since December and is climbing up those rankings. Her ranking has been cut in half since that December title. Provisionally up to 173 in the rankings and is the 70th best performer overall so far this season.

She's doing really well. Surely she'll get a Wimbledon wildcard. There's quite a few new, young British players coming through in both the men's and women's.

I'd say almost certainly along with Naomi Broady, Katie Boulter and one more home player. Despite Konta, Watson and Broady being in awful form on the main tour, it does look promising overall, particularly on the women's side. Harriet Dart (21) has just had a 13 game winning streak ended in a final yesterday which included a title in Germany the other week. She's at about 240 now. Katy Dunne has made a final and semi final in recent weeks, also around 240. Boulter (21) is still inside the top 200 and Katie Swan (19), who has always been the most highly rated, is still just inside the top 300, although injury and a slight loss of form has stifled her progress a bit.

All makes for a very interesting pre-Wimbledon grass summer and some of these will also be in French Open qualifying contention.

I seen Hariet Dart beat Laura Robson on the way to that final.

I'm looking forward to seeing Auger-Aliasamme tonight against Raonic. He's going to be a top 10 player I reckon. Canada have some good youngsters coming through.

Yeah, I remember someone else mentioning him on here a few months ago and I have vaguely been following his results (without watching games), but did have have a few poor results on the Challenger scene towards the back end of last year although good to see him more on the main stage now and he is extremely young, particularly for the men's game where most of the top players will be between 26 and 32 or so.

Currently watching a 16 year old former US Open Junior champion vs Kvitova (who is on a crazy winning run herself) and the youngster leads 3-0, or 3-1 now. That 15 year old Kostyuk has also been backing up her Aussie Open run as well with a 60k title a month ago and another final the other day. It's great seeing loads of youngsters coming through.

Djokovic out to Taro Daniel. Not good signs at all, he shouldn't be losing sets 6-1.

He looks finished to me. I'm sure he can turn it around. The ability must still be there but mentally he seems like he's really struggling. I've heard rumours that his lifestyle is similar to that of Tiger Woods.

Just don't think he's fit enough, all Taro Daniel can do is give you junk and make you hit a lot of balls. Not a great match for your first one back on an incredibly slow surface.

Let's not forget Daniel took a set off Rafa at the US Open last year in similar conditions and Rafa won tbe title.

In hindsight what an opportunity missed by Norrie. He was the favourite going into that 1st round match and was in a great position after winning the 2nd set 6-1. Next up would have been sub par Novak (obviously not a walkover mind but certainly winnable) and with Nishikori withdrawing, Daniel now plays L Mayer for a place in the last 16. What might have been...

On the women's side, only 2 seeds remain in the top half of the draw, but of the other 6 players, you have a 16 year old, 18 year old, 20 year old and a much improving 22 year old so it bodes well for the future.

    It's not looking good.

Got Wimbledon tickets the other day. No doubt he'll be playing on the court I'm watching and retire after about 20 mins.

Nice. Which court did you get? I'm still debating doing the queue.

Quarter final stages of the women's IW

    Halep vs Martic
    Pliskova vs Osaka

    Venus vs Suarez Navarro
    Kerber vs Kasatkina

Would like to see Osaka win this, but more realistically I'd be happy with Kerber.

Court 1 on middle Saturday. The lass went through the ballot and it's the first time we'll have been so looking forward to it.

I could potentially do the queue on the middle Saturday but not sure I’d enjoy the tennis after being in there from 3 am
