Sharm el Sheik in February?

I always like to go somewhere hot in feb/Mar as that is when the dark and cold begin to kill me.

I've done Cape Verde and Canaries. I wanted to do Gambia but can only find flights on a Thursday.

So will Sharm be warm enough to enjoy a swim in mid Feb?

I went in January a few years ago and it was mid twenties, while I was there.

The pools were cold but the sea was a bit better.

Gambia is best avoided unless you like the idea of non-stop hassle from the locals every time you leave your hotel.

Certain ladies of, shall we say, older generations appear to like the attention however.

It's fine at this time of year. You can certainly swim in the sea but a heated pool is a plus.

idea is to sit in a hotel and get some winter sun... guaranteed in the gulf. once you are in a hotel you could be anywhere...
