Shane Warne RIP

A cricketer you hated playing against England but would have loved playing FOR England. A proper bona fide legend.

If you haven’t watched his Amazon doc then do so it’s highly recommended

I remember him signing at the top of the steps at the riverside changing rooms, must have been a good 30 minutes he spent signing everything and chatting/posing for pictures.

Stunned and saddened by this.

A true legend of the game, and a great bloke by the sounds of it.

R I P.

Some certainly do, and Warnie was one of them.

He was at the Cheltenham literature festival a few years back and was signing copies of his book afterwards. I remember wondering why the queue was moving so slowly, when I got near the front it was clear why, he was taking time to pose for photos and sign other memorabilia for everyone who came through.

Pure class on and off the field.

Same when I saw him at the Oval. Stopped for every handshake, photo and autograph. Took him ages to get to the pavilion while other well known former players just walked past unnoticed. Just wish I'd got a photo but I don't like to bother people when I meet them.

R.I.P. Shane lad.
He had a meal at Alderley Edge C.C. a few years ago and my daughter told him off for not eating his greens! 🙂

The only Aussie I ever wanted to see hit a century in an Ashes match, during that amazing summer in 2005.

Absolute legend of the sport, and seemed a good bloke too.

Very sad.

RIP Warney.
A great way to view an enemy that we were playing against,
Hated most of the oz team cos they were brilliant and I hated them for doing so well ,
Didn't mind as much with Warne for some reason,

Really gutted about this. One of my cricketing heroes. Best spin bowler the word has ever seen and a fantastic commentator. Very sad.
