Season Ticket Tracker

Might have already been mentioned but why did the club say 28500 season tickets sold on the website when I checked out the away tickets availability earlier today?

It's a guess, but I suspect it's because the club haven't released all of the tickets in and around the South stand predominantly.
It was clear for the SW game that as the lower bowl reached capacity more seats were made available - likely to do with the anticipated migration.

To be fair it says 'over 28500'
Which to me indicates the sold number is 28500 or thereabouts and not near 30k.

Which makes the tracker incorrect if that's the case?

It was acknowledged by the creators on here that the tracker was over stating sales as it started on 24k a few hours after the club had said 22.5k already sold.

The tracker goes by seats available and I think not all seats were released for sale, the tracker kept going down as more seats were released for the Sheff Wed game as the lower bowl was getting close to a sell out, I would imagine some tickets are held back by the club to avoid over crowding in certain sections especially the south stand.

All that said the tracker doesn’t include corporates which is estimated to be between 1.5k and 2k so we will be v close to 30k as it stands

So if the club are saying over 28,500, then the tracker is wrong (possibly because they are not releasing some seats?)?

I got an email a while ago now stating 28,500 off the club, not sure why people are only just getting those now. They just haven't updated it that's all. It's extremely poor marketing, I think we will officially hit 30k this week with an announcement.

The tracker is counting seats available for sale and deducting them from the total number of seats. There have been press releases from the club where the tracker is less than the stated total and some where it is more. It can’t be exact, as only the club will know that figure, but it does give us fans a good idea of the numbers sold. And of course, it will give us a great idea of how many have sold between two dates.

They said we had over 28k on June 7th, and at the time they released that figure the tracker said we had 27,900. They've been using the 28.5+ figure for well over a week now and we know haven't sold 0 in a week (the tracker has gone up consistently daily and is now 1,987 higher that that June 7th date) so I think you're wrong and they've just not updated the figure that's going out on emails or website.

See Season Ticket Tracker for how it works.
