Genuinely surprised and shocked .....but should I be ...no loyalty whatsoever in this business ....he would be my choice instead of mowbray
Very harsh that. He hasn’t been sacked for results. He’s been sacked because he went in and threatened the board with his resignation if they didn’t spend more money.

Hes a manager.
I'm a manager at my place of work. When I'm not given the tools to do my job and lead my team properly, I make it clear I'm unhappy and those above need to pull their finger out. Why shouldn't he?

Sean Dyche 7/4
Chris Wilder 13/2
Jonathan Woodgate 9/1
Thierry Henry 10/1
John Terry 12/1
Michael Carrick 12/1
Nathan Jones 12/1
Gary O’Neil 14/1

Some shocking names on there mind. I reckon it’ll be either Carrick or Terry

I don’t think it was transfer disagreements, he said they were underequipped which the owner has seen as a dig at him and not showing respect for the club.
Their statement literally says it is. Says that they won’t break from their philosophy of running the club sustainably and they hoped their manager would respect that.

He won't be coming here.

1. Wages
2. He's not played for or managed a London or South East club since the mags 15 years ago. Geography and presumably family would make us a no go. Especially given that we are an utter basket case of a club for any potential outsider.

It's a disgrace the lack of loyalty and trigger happy sacking nature in football these days mind which senior staff and owners show each other; 1 win out of 4 and 3 defeats (against ****ing Arsenal, City and Liverpool).........hope they go down now. I feel sorry for the bloke.

Probably because he agreed to said policy months if not years ago when he signed for the club. Same as Neil, when you sign for a club one of the first things you’ll sign onto is the transfer policy of the club which will state the approach and likely spends, targets, etc., which I’m sure will be reviewed after each season and agreed again.

They haven’t even done badly this season - won their one game that was really winnable against Villa and lost against city, arsenal and Liverpool. Not exactly massive surprises are they? There’s ways and means to question things though and saying publicly the squad is shit and will go down and 9-0 won’t be the biggest defeat of the season isn’t exactly going to help your cause is it?
