Scott Parker

Keep seeing this, but AFAIK, Dundee United haven't sacked Ross after the Celtic game.
Southampton have conceded 9 twice under Hasenhüttl - he's still there.
We conceded 7 to Liverpool two years ago and didn't panic. Against sides like that, it can happen

If they're using that, it's a poor excuse
Jack Ross has just been sacked.

What a stupid comparison.

Bournemouth are the second lowest premiership club in transfer spend this summer. Only Leicester have spent less - but they have an established squad that finished 8th last season. Promoted team have to spend to compete. Fulham - who had a way better team than Bournemouth last season, have spend more than twice as much. Forest have spent £140m.

Bournemouth is not a "let's be careful about how we spend"' policy. It's a suicide note. A white flag. It's, "We can't compete here, let's not even try". It's, "We're going down, so what? We've got a year's TV money, and 3 years parachute payments to finance us after that". Scotty is not prepared to be their fall guy ... he's had one recent relegation on his CV, he doesn't want another. He would have stayed if there was a squad with a decent chance of making it. So he invites them to sack him with post match comments.

By contrast we have spent the 6th largest amount on transfers so far in our league. Only Burnley, Hull, 'Boro, Norwich and Watford have spent more. And of those, only Norwich represents owners making a 'net spend'. The other 4 were financed by sales. The deadline looms - so with more transfers no doubt these figures will be shortly out of date.

Sustainability does not mean not spending. It means smart spending.
Aye right and how much do you think wed be blowing in the prem ? Competing for spend with rest of the division? .
What a stupid reply .

I think he’s done alright in management so far but them three losses have been embarrassing. Sixteen goals conceded on the spin and it should have been more, they looked like an under 12’s team with no plan against the big boys. Suspect as a Bournemouth fan I would have been happy with this decision.

You'd have to think there's something else gone on there?? I know it was a lot of goals but it's still only one game and I can't imagine they were expecting to do anything other than battle relegation??

Against a Liverpool team smarting from losing at Old Trafford, and out to prove something as well.

Good decision by Bournemouth. This is what we should have done with Moyes when he came out with the same comments Parker has been sacked for.
