Winger
A bowler who bowls a very tight line, I suspect he'll do very well in spring/early summer.

He won’t be bowling to many England test style and quality batsman in the CC.Have to say would of been very excited by this a year ago but he was awful in the Ashes looked totally non threatening.
So have to hope for more of his Aussie based form.
Ridiculous thatI see Australia have no tests from March 2024 onwards until November. Assuming he’s here for the entire season?
Was expecting World Cup June, Blast July(Final September) and Hundred/One Day August.Wonder if they’ll have the one day cup on June whilst the T20 World Cup is on- blast quality will be ruined somewhat if they clash
I’ll reserve judgment until I have seen him perform for Durham because I have only seen him in the Ashes where he was poor
An aussie style bowler on the current CLS pitch is ideal.County wickets will be more conducive to his style of bowling than the 5 day test tracks we had this summer.

Not worried about comment on his ashes performance, what matters is a) he's good and b) how he does from here on in.
I don't disagree, good signing
Have the club moved away from the overseas spinner route they took this season? An oversight or confidence in Parkinson
Not sure how Ackermann gets in the side mind.Parkinson is the man. Ackerman is no slouch with the ball either.
He's going to be absolutely lethal for us.
agree, can't wait to watch himHe's going to be absolutely lethal for us.
Such a repeatable and accurate action.
The Ashes pitches were absolutely shite and playing in April/May will be worlds apart.

Kookaburra being used first few rounds so will be a big advantage having him for that too
I thought I’d read early season but it doesn’t specify in hereAre they using them in the first few rounds? Or the middle of the season again??
If they use them in April and May it’s another completely f*cking braindead decision from FTECB.

Is there even a mid season. Is it not all in April/May and September.I thought I’d read early season but it doesn’t specify in here
England hoping Kookaburra ball can help them win Down Under
Exclusive: It is hoped the change will help spinners, though the move is not expected to be universally popularwww.telegraph.co.uk
Hopefully mid season!

Guess we will find out at the end of the week, but I'd be surprised if we have much red ball June-August.
