A 4000 mile round trip to go to Salisbury for an hour or so.
Of course it is. Got to hand it to them, they're canny WUMs.Does anyone else think this is just the Russians blatantly sticking two fingers up by putting those two up with such a stupid excuse for being there?
I can imagine the officials in Red Square pissing themselves laughing about this
Totally plausible alibi , I mean Russians & a bit of slushy snow, best bet get out of there pronto & head back to the temperate climate that Russia has, never snows in RussiaSalisbury nerve attack suspects say they were tourists visiting cathedral
Seems a reasonable explanation of their movements to me. Unfortunately it rained so they had to return to Russia early
People fly from further to pay to see Stonehenge, you can drive past it on the A303 and see it! Without doubt the most underwhelming thing I’ve ever seen.
And Salisbury Catherdral is lovely, if you like that sort of thing.

potential headline - international assassination attempted foiled by bus replacement service...To be honest, my faith in the GRU was already wavering. I mean, what sort of outfit would send two agents to execute a hit in the UK relying for transport on the Sunday train timetable? Bunch of amateurs.

Also, if visiting Salisbury Cathedral is your cover story for a 4000-mile day trip then damned well visit Salisbury Cathedral.
And has one of the oldest clocks in the world. I remember going in as a kid and learning about the clock off my Dad.It's a nice Cathedral. (As far as they go)

No, it was sunny, no rain that dayDid you poison anyone while you were there?
They probably could find recommendations for restaurants in Salisbury .
Yeah just read that "the men said they may have approached Sergei Skripal’s house by accident on 4 March, but denied that they were carrying any poison or that they had committed any crime."
