Indeed. And that’s where Speakman’s comments about improvement were always going to be put under the microscope. Because if the club expect progress and an improvement on last season whilst seeing our two leading scorers and arguably best players depart without financing adequate replacements then they’re on another planet.

They have 24 hours to do that now despite knowing Amad was away and Stewart was likely to depart after not signing a new deal.
