Same here. 14 due today. Decided to postpone.

Getting to just switch off for 2 or 3 hours on a long run is part of the attraction for me.

Oh I love distance running.

It was the route last week was 10 laps of a 1.3 mile industrial estate.

Think it’ll be along the coast tomorrow.

27:30 at park run this morning. Nearly jacked it in but glad I went.

Also had 10 miles planned for today but not going to bother with that in the wind, heading to the gym for some cross training and a sauna. Stair master and cycling I think!

Designated driver today so managed to get it done before driving to Bolton. I’ve done loads of training this week too so I’m feeling it a bit like.

Ooof! Sounds grim as fuck. Was it one of those NorthEast Project events at Thornaby Industrial Estate?

My marathon pb was set doing 10x2.5 mile laps of Elvington Airfield with just a longer starting & finishing straight to complete the distance.

Nelson Industrial estate in Cramlington.

Up and down too so a bit of a challenge for the legs. Felt great after though.

Seen a couple of runners out today and they looked delighted to be out there

I did Pools parkrun. Was like running straight into a sandblasting machine in parts.

I saw a vid one of my mates took of Blyth Parkrun and it was like a sandstorm.

Fair play for getting out mate.

Have a look at Salomon running vests. Soft flasks are ideal.

Druridge Bay Half Marathon this morning, canny route there was quite a long stretch running on sand. Started slowing down in the last 6 months so was more focused on just enjoying the run rather than worrying about times, finished on 1.42:23 which isn't too bad.

14 miles. Last 4 was a struggle. Blaming the beer from yesterday.

I don't like the idea of a camelback and always used bottles in a race vest.

I used camel pack for my last marathon training and worked quite well for me in the main, could do with a better one this time around tho.

Done my first 10k of the year. 47mins. Happy enough with that.

Was supposed to run 2hours today but was bursting for a shite at 9 mile so had to head home.

Did 10.7mile in 1h22. Probably go out first thing in the morning to make up the time/miles, though the winds picked up again (outside, not my bowels)
