Roy Keane

Just have no intention on reading that babble, in truth. I get it, you don’t want him.

Mine was in jest at a dull poster from here, with a vernacular that is no longer allowed, and I appear to have attracted another.
I think you're a blood clart liar and you read every single word , in jest or not you are a foul mouthed naughty boy :)
‘Got us up by some fluke’ - all credibility went out of the window at the end of that waffle. 🤷‍♂️

Got us up by fluke

I’ve read some crap on here but that’s the best 😂
Most the crap written by you

The passion and momentum a Roy Keane return to the SoL would generate is enough to get us promoted from League One and even The Championship, I don't doubt that for one second. It's just whether he himself can cope with the constraints of the Head Coach role and if he is happy to be restricted to a strict recruitment model?

My heart says yep, right now, immediately, bring him home, where is he now and I'll pick him up and drive him to his interview! But my head is not so sure...

However, f**k it! Give me true passion and desire in the Red 'n' White, with a bloke who actually understands the club and the North East at the helm of SAFC over spreadsheets and Wyscout!

Na na na nananana, nannana, Keano!!
It’s more the players. He’s gunna be coaching guys who struggle with the basics. And if we get a massive whooping from anyone again this season all bets are for him getting a prison sentence for GBH. Reckon he’d of spilt blood after that Bolton game

See, I don't really know. I acknowledge that any appointment in League One is likely to be underwhelming to some degree.

From the candidates mentioned, I like the sound of Edwards and Kisnorbo. Now, I don't know that much about them tbh, they probably have plenty of flaws too and obviously I'm a lot more familiar with Keane. I just like the idea of a young up-and-coming coach who has succeeded with the resources they've had available while playing a style of football that is likely to work with the squad that we have.

Fair enough, but this club requires a certain character to deal with the pressure and expectation of Sunlun in league one (even the Championship) considering the potential of the club.

Best managers in my time have been Reid, Keane, Gus & Big Sam all had the conviction to do it their way.

This isn’t the time for someone to come in and cut their teeth and gain experience, the job and expectation is too big!

Every appointment like this is a risk, for me Keane represents a calculated one.

Look at the players at our disposal, they need that belief and with Keane we’d be pulling in 40k+ and he’d give this young squad the mentality to thrive with that backing

Are many managers in league one tactical geniuses?

Keane kept a side in the PL. Not sure he's such a fool people make out

I don't think he's an idiot, and I don't think League One is awash with tactical geniuses.

I would be 100% behind him if he is appointed; all I'm saying is that we should interview all the potential candidates and if there is someone else who looks like he might be very astute tactically and a good coach, I'd probably favour him.

I'm struggling to understand why you think man-management and motivation are so different now to what they were then.
Respect. It came with the job last time as he’d not long finished playing. Not the case this time. He’d have to earn it. The players he had at his disposal then were of a higher standard than the ones he will have now, and were likely in awe of him. May not be the case this time. Add that to the fact he’s done the square root of f**k all except be grumpy on the telly for donkeys years. We aren’t going to agree, it’s my opinion.
