Would be interesting to know for sure. That's the kind of deal we would have struck in years gone by :lol: I hope he comes back from it, as he seems a decent lad, I just fear he won't.

It’s the thoughts of the player and his family. Must go through hell to wake up every Morning with some challenging thoughts. Looks like he has a good family around him.

Very good friends with a Dad of a lower league player that endured two long term career threatening injuries. Never been the same and missed out on a big move to Sheffield United because of it. They all went through hell and back, notwithstanding that in the lower leagues they don’t get the club support due to finances.

I really feel for the lad mate and hope he does come back from it and makes a good career for himself. Like you say, it's fine margins in a footballers life and one injury can change your entire life/future. That's why I try not to blame those that choose to move on for more money. It's a short career, relatively speaking.
 
He'll be playing for Falkirk in 3 or 4 years. Unfortunately for him it's very rare for players to get back to full potential after a bad achilles injury. We did well to get the money that we did for him. Imagine his career will be stop start from now on with recurring niggling injuries. Hard to stop playing for 2 years and then manage to get your body back up to speed fully without it breaking down consistently.

Spot on.
Most are just young lads with a gift of being able to kick a ball better than us which also pays decent money in doing so.
Jealousy and hate comes with the territory.
Not the player above that I referred to but also know Jonny Williams’s Dad, JW suffers massively with mental health which has nothing to do with job, money etc.
A real quiet, approachable lad off the field. All this and then there is us, the Supporters that are wired up with passion, loyalty and with something that is very important to us.
What could possibly go wrong putting all that together and hoping it’s perfect.😟

At least Clarke will go to a Premiership team, which is fair enough. Stewart diddled off to a team in the same division after we stood by him through his injurues.
 
Stewart will have played a total of 17 minutes in the last 64 Championship games by the time this season draws to a close (and you can add 2-3 more on for what he'll miss of their playoff games).
