If Ross Stewart were to allow himself to be sold for any more than the value of his next contract then he would be a complete mug. The club got him for peanuts. Why should he let the owners get even richer off his back. If they sell him for £12m he should be demanding £60k per week for 4 years which would be about £12m.

If he is offered only £20k per week then the transfer fee should be no more than £4m.
Only £20K a week

5mil would be madness, might aswell keep him for 18mths thats left on contract and let him leave for nowt.It keeps him on the low wages he is on now for the remainder of his time here. Some might say he wont bother trying in games in that scenario but what club would pay top wages to someone who hasnt shown anything for 18mths.

There’s a long line of forwards who look great at championship level and can’t cut it in the Prem. I just wonder if stewart can create enough for himself t9 make it. Doesn’t strike the ball too well from long range, not massively skilful. He has lots of brilliant attributes but would he succeed at say Bournemouth? I just don’t see it. Right now the best fit club for stewart is a big championship club going for promotion. So we don’t need to sell and he doesn’t need to move.
