I think we're creating a higher pressure situation for that first footballer to come out, if he actually does exist. The media are desperate for it. I don't think any player needs that shit, and nobody really cares who they're shagging.

Left back was a problem position for us for years until Ashley Cole came along.

I didn't rate Le Saux very highly at all. And he's always come across as a pain in the arse when he's on telly, including that 'woe is me, I'm not gay but I read newspapers' thing he did. It's easy to see why players wouldn't get along with him, and it's nothing to do with how clever he thinks he is.
