Local club owners were forced to sell out to millionaires by fans demanding more and the millionaires are slowly being forced to sell out to billionaires as the fans demand more and now we're in a state where the majority of the clubs in the top two flights are owned by foreigners who have no concept of what the game means at a local level who make decisions on a whim from hundreds of thousands of miles away people who are so detached from reality.
Leicester owners classic example. Flying to and from the stadium in a private helicopter. They don't know or care about the average fan in the street. Football clubs in England have became the plaything of billionaires. Some are better than others, but the ones from the far east just don't get it at all and think throwing money at it solves everything. Look at the Chinese Super League as a perfect example.
The modern game in this country is dying a slow and painful death. It might not look it due to wages / ratings / transfer fees, but more and more the average punters are being priced out of the game. No wonder non league teams are getting record attendances

Just about every club outside the top 4 usually struggles to juggle European football and domestic football. That is exactly what has happened this season but your plastic support seems to think you should be above that. It's almost as if some of your "support" has stumbled into football in the last 12 months.
Go and support Chelsea if you want to win every week. You'd fit right in.
Whether you like it or not its a business, especially with teams like Arsenal, the only reason they moved is to rake as much money as possible. Arsenal is the opposite of unreasonable expectations really, third most successful club in the country and one of the biggest wagebills in the world, yet Wenger has made some believe finishing 4th is an achievement. He couldnt even win the league with no major rivals in the race last year.
