Rafa. He's still not happy

So let's get this right, in May they reckon they were gonna have over £150 million to spend but in harsh reality they haven't got a pot to piss in and can't raise funds by selling players because they are to too good a contract?

If the crowd can get behind them en masse that'll be worth something. My biggest concern is that Rafa walks and whoever comes in inherits someone else's team and a horrible toxic atmosphere at an increasingly sparsely attended ground.

I was more optimistic about the season ahead. I was confident we'd come back up, I was confident we'd win more games than we lost.

Ashley's just a fat **** that doesn't have a clue about football. He'd be much happier owning a box at Spurs than he is owning a football club.

We don't need to compete with the biggest clubs. We can't. That's obvious. Even if we had the money to spend on fees, we'd have to break the bank on wages to convince them to join us.

We can compete financially with Watford though, and Bournemouth, and Crystal Palace, or West Ham. But Ashley prefers to gamble that what we've got will be sufficient for his aims; Premier League survival in perpetuity.

I may be canny thick, but thats how I understood it. Hence why we could afford to spend the summer we got relegated regardless of profits made. We are now in financial limbo where we either gamble like the other promoted sides do or wait.

That said, im often wrong.

It seems to me that , for whatever reason, you and Reiver don't get on, which is fair enough. But why all this acting like children and spending all your time dredging up old posts to point score. Strikes me is petty and immature. But then again that is just me.

Tbf from our point of view there is no point in getting promoted. There is absolutely no way we could compete with the obscene amount of money being thrown about, and nor would I want us to.
