I thought Portugal to Japan would be a good trip.
More of south east Asia...
A route from Japan down to Malaysia, Indonesia and Australasia, though I get boats and planes would be needed.
Or China, stay on the main continent, via Malaysia and more to India. Lots of countries there.

I don't think there is one. They did their own version of The Amazing Race which is sort of similar.
True. Prize money usually terrible which might make their version of Survivor a bit dull if they're not going to win anything.

There are also some remaining Covid restrictions around the world so I can understand why they went with a relatively safe route across Canada.

I’m sure I read somewhere that it’s already been filmed. Just announcing the tv show to return. Would have meant that was probably still Covid restrictions going on so be a pain to cross borders so makes sense to keep it all in one country.
