RAWA Questions For The Club/Owners

Why are Richard Hill and Tony Coton still in a job? why weren’t they sacked along with Jack Ross? Would you say they have done a good job? What does Paul Reid bring to the table?

I know they can’t say everything about the deal but how far along the line are with the investment/takeover? Because of the way things have been run in the last few months, should the current regime be allowed to be in charge of day to day issues?

why did you choose Phil Parkinson when you knew the vast majority of fans were against the appointment?

Pre Wembley :
It was stated that young players are the future and must be looked after and brought through . The Maja situation cited as something that must never happen agAin .

Post Wembley : we appear to be asset stripping top to bottom . Young players cherry picked and senior pros allowed to leave to get off the wage bill, that apparently was no problem.

the question being... are we really in cracking financial shape because we have reduced the wage bill and got rid , or does cracking shape mean we can spend?

It looks like we can’t spend and are absolutely desperate for investment. If so, will they sell the club for little or no profit if an owner with real financial clout wants it ? As time passes by without parachute payments, we can only assume SD can not facilitate the wage bill and will further cut costs . The gamble on a Grigg and promotion backfired and if things get worse will Sd accept defeat in terms of making a profit he hoped for ?

Is the declining quality of the Academy not being arrested as quickly as one would like to justify an eventual reduction from Category A for cost savings?

oldetr players leaving for nowt is not asset stripping-its the opposite! it cost a fortune to get rid of them!
and young players are leaving because safc cant legally keep an under 16 player..despite the lies spouted on here..

they just put more in this year to keep category one. whats the decline in quality of the academy you mention? is it because young players are leaving-well of course they are leaving-they are getting premier league offers.

So why are the young ones leaving so easy and why are our u18 u23 sides totally out of their depth all of a sudden.
As for getting people off the wage bill in the Summer , we were told their wages were not a problem. Cattermole left . Donald disappeared off Twitter
If finances were no issue , where were the adequate replacements . Eg 4 full backs replaced by a loan and a kid who isn’t quite ready for week in week out . It seems obvious Leadbitter was meant to be Cattermoles replacement and that has backfired big time

the oung playersare leaving becaue we are in league one and they were offered premier league..safc cant keep u16 players..
U23 side probably harmed by players being in first team sqaud weakening them..
we werent told wages were not a problem..we were told we didnt have to lose them but wages were a problem as they are right up against the rules imposed by the league..

catts got so much stick onhere last year for being shit i thought our fans would tahnk the onwrs for getting rid of him..

losing those high earners wasnt free you know..

Some really balanced and we'll informed questions for far.....

What is the short term strategy for the team, not th financial bits or sponsorship bits, what's the plan for the team, is it to buy players under 23, is to buy established players that will improve the team now etc.

What is the plan for scouts, what will the club be doing that sets it apart from our current peers in league one in terms of sports science, sports psychology and player analysis.

If we break our costs down into percentages will the club put more money into scouting, coaching or simply buying better players, again this is relative to our peers who appear to mainly just get the best players they can year to year which means in league one that teams like Oxford go from quite poor to promotion contenders.
Also one more.

Our team has a lot of "combination" players which means we do generally have good possession for this league, what we lack is any player who can get the ball and carry it up the pitch, this is one of the reasons Jack Ross struggled, under Parkinson we are being more intense and direct but we still have the same players who move the ball around without going anywhere, will the club consider a player that can carry the ball and penetrate teams.

Because if they don't the results will continue as they pretty much have done all season.

Will they give assurances that they won’t sell the SOL or the AOL. You have to pay mortgages back and I don’t trust for one minute they will be around when the tin gets shaken by the lender.

Are the recruitment team under any scrutiny given our squad is dire? And this despite having a supposedly massive budget for League One.

Not having a single good full back or pacey winger/forward when it's blatantly obvious we needed those things all summer is criminal.
This. The recruitment is absolutely shocking.

Why is our recruitment so poor? What are they going to do about it?

Why did we fail to bring in attack minded players in the summer?

What's the plan if we fail to be promoted again, which looks likely based on current results/performances?

Can we cut our losses and replace Grigg. And Wyke?

Immediately prior to your last few "twitter holidays" around the time you have been asked some difficult questions you've said that you have had no choice but to step away because of threats being made to you.

Have these been investigated by the authorities and charges brought against the perpetrators? Do you agree it is important that this happens so that the reputation of Sunderland fans generally is not damaged be these people?

Good questions, But this one is the greatest, however i would reword it just a little

Agree and some height and prescience in the team too.

To Donald.....Are we still on course for your suggested 100 points target and will the new below average manager have any funds in January to strengthen the mid table squad?

Can the club compete without further investment in the Jan window?

Given the disruption caused by talk of investment, what lessons have been learned?

What are your expectations/break even point for season ticket sales if we fail to get promoted?

Mr Donald, in January will the manager have the sense to beg you to lend the club some money in order to try i say try and acquire one or two players ie midfield or winger who can dribble ie that means take men on and either shoot themselves or put in a good through ball or cross one, then again who the fuck will be on the end of it, Wyke ? Grigg ? 🙈Maybe McNulty perhaps only one who can maybe find the net .

What is being done to improve the poor performances and quality of young players in the academy.
Why are we not spending the money in this area just ridiculous that new talent cannot be home grown with a great chance to play for the first team?
