Protest At The Man United Game

That's guesswork though isn't it ...... gate receipts mean very little these days tbh.

They mean more in the pub league. And even in the premier league plummeting attendances (and a resulting lack of other match day generated funds) will make a greater difference than singing "are you watching Ellis Short" after paying into a ground he hasn't even shown up to.

Clearly, you haven't understood the plan the protesters have mapped out ....... here, let their spokesman explain.

Ha ha ha

When Celtic forced out the old board there was a well organised and managed campaign that had been on the go for a long time under the auspices of Brian Dempsey. There was also a well-funded millionaire businessman willing to take over the club and try to turn it around (which he did with aplomb).

If people can organise a grassroots campaign and get some sort of consortium on board then of course protests would be a useful tool, but until that transpires it will just be a way of unleashing anger and discontent, but with no end result.

They can't do anything more than pontificate on here to be honest ....... any booing, on Sunday, will be claimed as a massive victory.

For true fans it's only matchday and that will happen whatever league we're in - meet the lads - drink a few beers - celebrate or commiserate - takeaway - home - sleep it off.
The experience is everything the premier league is only there to support the egos of 6 clubs so why not fuck them and enjoy it as always. :)
The old First Division seemed so much more interesting - shame its gone

I'll be protesting by spending the day driving a hired dumper truck so 'fuck you Short!'
You're taking a dumper?

What are you blabbering on about?[/Q
So, as I thought you don't have an answer ..... I keep asking the question and no one ever has an answer.

"Short out!!!!!! ....... then, errr, dunno really."

Well that would be a start. Who knows where it will end but isnt that the nature of change & protest? Those in charge obviously want to keep things the way they are however much its against the interests of everybody else. Short has proved he is not capable of owning this club to the satisfaction of its supporters so what matter if protests force a change.

Neither, I'm just laughing at you ....... seriously, you're a joke.

I'm a joke? f***ing hell

You're absolutely all over this thread to the point of it being embarrassing. You seem satisfied with how the club is being run, you seem content with our points tally and the way Moyes is performing. You have an excuse for everything, you appear to be arguing tooth and nail about fuck all, desperately clinging on to our failure tag and excusing our lack of goals and unacceptable run of results.

If anyone is embarrassing on this thread, its the fans that are excusing Short, Moyes and anyone else who have played a part in our ultimate downfall.

You're now colluding with Braithwaite who has confessed that he has never supported Sunderland in his life, he follows whichever club Moyes is manager of  then you have the audacity to have a go at posters like @haway who although you may disagree with, only wants what's best for the club and its fans.

Aye, but to be fair to Short, he owns the club. He has also sunk in his own cash. While we can complain, he has the right to ask what he wants for it

Take a chill pill fella - we are not 'colluding.' We are chatting on a football club message board - hardly the Gunpowder Plot pal.

Careful - my mentor uncle Dave has been giving me slapping lessons ;)

I can't take you seriously anymore. You have a lot to say on here for someone who does not support SAFC.
You have got to be on a windup. In fact, I hope you are because otherwise it's just f***ing mental.

Becoming interested in a football club is mental? If you ever read what I said previously, I had not supported an English team before SAFC, but I really enjoy the spirit of the supporters here. Well, most o' em anyway
