Prem League so far

Watch very very little prem. however watched the wolves mags game after ours the other week n remember thinking how slick n powerful wolves looked, n theyre just a fodder side really.

Obviously we’d make various changes but our current setup would be even more frustrating in the prem imo. Could see us playing some amazing football yet rarely winning, like Rodgers famous Swansea outfit.

@hank williams probably has 😂
We'd probably have a different manager so could end up being set up totally different.

They probably went up too soon.

A lot on here are wanting that , we would have the same outcome.
Maybe, but with all due respect, to say ‘a lot of Sunderland supporters want promotion, like that’s some ludicrous desire, is a bit silly, don’t you think?

What do you expect us to want? It seems to me the aim of this league is to get out of it.

Fwiw I’m happy being in the second tier for the first time in my life. I still want promotion, but I’ve enjoyed the championship this time round, and do now hold the opinion that there is life outside the top flight.

Still.

With all due respect .

Have you read a lot of the posts on here ?

A bit silly ?

Wow .

There's no such thing as going up too soon

You cant pick or choose when to get promoted

Look at Coventry

Play off final last year. Now really struggling
Think my points being missed.

There’s a clamour to get back there by whatever means possible and it to be soon as .

All I’m saying is if we had gone up we would currently be like Burnley , unless we spent tons , which in my opinion we wouldn’t have .

I want us to be back at the top , my worry is if this ownership have the capability to do it .

Luton style is a good leveller. Some teams can't handle the physicality. They'll get more points but still go down.
Burnley have stupidly try to pla6 better trams at their won game. They were never going to out football the Premier league. Sooner they adapt the better but they're on real trouble

Yeah it’s mad how they were pretty much up by February and they’ve been dreadful.

My mate who’s a Burnley fan has lost patience with Kompany and wants him out.
Lost their top goalscorer who was on loan last year, plus one or two more, and haven't replaced them with the same quality.

I enjoyed the way you played against Liverpool.

I think you have a good chance of staying up - there are certainly three worse teams in the league than Luton.
There’s not 3 worse teams than Luton mind they’re shite and won’t reach 30pts yet got a canny point against Liverpool who slightly better sides would’ve beaten on Sunday
I’ve seen most of the games and feel Luton are better than:

Sheff United
Bournemouth
Everton
Burnley
Haha Everton who have only lost 2 in their last 8 ? Of course Luton are better than them 🤣 Luton 2pts from their last 5 games

Luton beat Everton.
You've seen around 50 games involving those 5 teams? That's dedication!
I’ve seen most of the games.

The money players get in that league is what bugs me the most, it’s beyond ludicrous now.

I was at a do last night with a fella who has two sons, his youngest lad a few years ago was on a Construction Industry apprenticeship and was getting £9k /year. His elder lad plays in the Premiership and gets £9k goal bonus.
Is that 9k if he scores or everybody in the team gets 9k when a goal is scored ?

I was quite shocked at the Luton v Liverpool match thread on here. Many (not all) were over the moon that Liverpool managed a late equaliser. Not sure if it is still sour grapes from the play offs...but for me I love seeing the smaller less fancied clubs turning over the big boys. I enjoyed Lutons performance and the way they went about it, I hope they stop up but can't see them lasting the pace.

Luton got a draw off Liverpool does it make them a very good side ?

f***ing hell football doesn’t work like this we once beat Chelsea 0-3 didn’t make us better side than them 😂😂😂😂

Everything about Luton just screams tramps even their fans look like they’re still living in 1982

Only silver lining in those type of results is that our dear neighbours are pushing for top spots in the league so there’s reason to cheer on the big boys in that sense……but I agree with you. Would have loved Luton to take the three points.

Sorry, what are the posts you allude to? What am I missing here?

And yeah, I do think it’s a bit silly to say we don’t want to go up. I get your point, I really do, but what’s the alternative? Is there a way to ensure we go up and don’t struggle?

Say we achieve something akin to failing in 98 then rocketing upwards in 99? That’d be great and could happen, but I just don’t see how we can guarantee it. So all we can hope for is to get promoted, which is surely the objective of any half decent club in this league. I don’t think I’m saying anything too radical here.
