Prem League so far

Before I get called patronising, I fully expect us to get relegated this season and wouldn't be too surprised if you replace us.

Looking forward to a trip up to Old Trafford tomorrow, I'm far to old to to call it the 'Theatre of Dreams'. Despite their woes, player for player they earn at least £100k a week more than our side. Should really be an absolute hammering but we all have that dream that it may just be the day.

However, back to my point. I'm not sure the Prem League is absolutely as good as its cracked up to be. Apart from Brighton first game of the season, I've not been hugely impressed by any side we have played.

The main difference is that games at this level are settled by the odd moment of quality. We don't quite have it, the opposition often do.

The atmosphere is dire as well. Away fans make no noise and when I've been away the atmosphere is shocking.

If you do go up next season, tge standard or gap is nowhere near what the media make out.

Good luck against Brum tomorrow. Possibly perfect game for you, Rooney trying to play football with a side not capable of it. With your football you should destroy them.

The gap between the top 7/8 and the bottom is massive. Hence why you have won 1 game in a quarter of the season.

The bottom end of the PL is lifting in quality, woeful football.
Arsenal, City, Liverpool and spurs play great football, the rest are fairly poor

You came within a gnats whisker of beating Liverpool and I’d love to see you win tomorrow and stay up.

We won't replace you this season

Football is football. It’s generally fun imo. I’m not into taking a broad sweep of clubs and dismissing them.
On the other hand - the VAR in the premier looks an absolute pain in the bum

Probably like top half championship quality, mind you I think the better teams make anyone look bad

The gap gets bigger and bigger some very poor teams in the premier league.

Think your tactics don’t work in the top flight
With VAR and more lenient refs it’s hard to play to your shithouse strengths

And you can see the technical difference.

Take points of Newcastle when you play em next will do for me
I thought the same as you up to two months. Since then, I've not seen anything that really frightens me.

Of course you will get a technical difference when your players are on a max of £15k per week and the opposition are on a min of £100k per week , but as clichéd as it sounds, it's still eleven V eleven. Last week being a great example, our Stoke reject had Salah in his pocket all game.

Mind you, I'm posting this before a visit to Man U which could end up in a humiliating battering 😁

Is it not worse to not be 'frightened' by any team but still only have 1 win in 11? 🫣

Luckily there are some absolute stinking teams kicking about, could scrape by and build from there

The money players get in that league is what bugs me the most, it’s beyond ludicrous now.

I was at a do last night with a fella who has two sons, his youngest lad a few years ago was on a Construction Industry apprenticeship and was getting £9k /year. His elder lad plays in the Premiership and gets £9k goal bonus.

Championship football beats Premier League. More noise and no VAR.
I'd also pick it over Champions League. Always the same teams on tv.

My point was though it's not all its cracked up to be . The media hype the Prem League up because at the end of the day its their living.

Apart from City, look at European results over the last few years.

Thought you showed how awkward and resilient you can be in your draw with Liverpool last weekend when you were unlucky not to win. I hope you can give manure a bloody nose and, given the run they're on, this could be a nightmare game for them.

Whatever happens on the pitch, occasions like tomorrow are what your club has worked so tirelessly for over the last ten years. To be going to Old Trafford as equals is just reward for your efforts and light years away from stepping out against the likes of Braintree, Hereford and Nuneaton in the Conference.

You have made a solid start to the season in comparison to fellow promotees Burnley and Sheffield United and I would like to see you stay up.
