Dunno why you are keep going on about it tbh. Do you think you will change my mind? I think he's gone on like a tit, like he has done at every club/team he's been at at one time or another. Hope he's finally learned his lesson and isn't as snidey with the opposition in future.

Imo the ECB have just went "aye, whatever, just don't do it again" rather than accepting and agreeing nowt untoward went on. They are more forgiving than i am it seems.

Erm, cos its a forum for discussion debate and if we are discussing what he has done wrong its probably better to deal with whay we know what we think might have happened surely?

So with that in mind we know he has basically said some not very nice things about Strauss and that is all we know.

With that in mind I ask myself:

Has he been a bit of a knacker? Aye.

So much so that he is dropped? Nope.

Bit too black and white for me like but each to their own marra. One final thing, it isn't what he said that particularly bothers me tbh, it's more that he felt it was fine to say anything at all, especially when he said it and who he was sayin it to.

If only you could clear up what he said, when he said it and to whom. But of course, you don't really know do you, because it's all made up.

And as for not being snidey to the opposition, first :lol::lol::lol::lol:, second, was this before or after supposedly helping them?

Now he's back in the squad it's a fresh start. I don't think he should be in but that's moot.

And since he's back in, I'd have him opening the batting tbh.

Middle order looks dodgy if he opens IMO.

For me:

Cook
Root
Trott
Pietersen
Bell
Prior
Broad
Swann
Anderson
Panesar
Finn

5 bowlers is the only way we even give ourselves a glimmer of hope of winning the series like.
 
If we only play 5 specialist batsmen I can see us being bowled out for under 200 quite a few times in India unless we suddenly work out how to play spin.

I would add Bairstow or Morgan and drop one of the bowlers. I would be tempted to use Pietersen as a second spinner to allow us to include 3 seamers. If that doesn't work out drop the least effective seamer and include Monty.
