So did you spend the money you saved on the attacking players wages with what you saved ? I don't blame Ferguson for panicking but at a time when we wages were limited it seems like a hustle1. 1
2. Because we knew we could get an emergency loan if needed.
Probably. We got in a cheap u23 to sit on the bench, I would guess we knew the rules regarding emergency keepers at the time. If its within the rules then yes the rules are shit, but we've kept to them. If not we go with young Dan.So did you spend the money you saved on the attacking players wages with what you saved ? Absolute farce if true. They will be getting in a keeper younger than their current no. 2About to sign Bursik from Stoke according to Alan Nixon
He's better than Pym!!About to sign Bursik from Stoke according to Alan Nixon

The stats for Bursik show hes played for both Stoke and Doncaster this season so surely he cant play for a 3rd team in a season
If that’s true hopefully they sign him, play him and have points docked
He has. He played about 10 to 15 games for Stoke. I know a lot of their fans were calling for him to be their number 1. I just assumed the emergency loan rules circumvented the two clubs in a season limit. Wouldn't be the first time Nixon's talked a load of shite. The stats for Bursik show hes played for both Stoke and Doncaster this season so surely he cant play for a 3rd team in a season
I've read those rules too and agree but it appears ( and no I cant find the rules either) that as both the others were under 23 at the start of the season and have made no league appearances they don't count. Makes no sense to me either but there seems to be a general acceptance an emergency loan will be granted.what rule? The rules from the EFL posted here state you shouldn’t be allowed as you have two other keepers.
People keep referencing some other rule that no one can find or point to. Sounds like an exception being made unless there is evidence to the contrary?
It shouldnt and it's simple as that. Your club were comfortable going into a full season with these 3 keepers, only 1 is injured so the other 2 are enough for the remaining gamesI've read those rules too and agree but it appears ( and no I cant find the rules either) that as both the others were under 23 at the start of the season and have made no league appearances they don't count. As others have stated, why bother with a back up keeper if you can just stick a bairn on the bench and get an emergency loan?It shouldnt and it's simple as that. Borderline cheating for meAs others have stated, why bother with a back up keeper if you can just stick a bairn on the bench and get an emergency loan?
