Ok well I am at a loss. As usual, like when you get a ban or a warning or as is here, a post removed, the reason for it is as clear as mud.
This is an area where this forum is lacking. At the risk of a ban may I say that the mods should explain more when dishing out bans, warnings or removing posts.
If there is no explanation, as it is now, how are posters to know what they have done wrong ?

I've already explained but will do so again.

The member who posted the libellous comments has been notified that his posts have been deleted and he has been given the reason why.

Any posts that quoted said libel were also deleted and those members whose posts were deleted because of repetition were duly informed.

With the current warning system I'm not sure what more could have been done.

Well you the mods may think your system is adequate, but I am not the first poster by a long chalk to comment that it is as clear as mud.

I really think more details should be given when a poster has a post removed, is given a warning or is banned
I feel quite strongly about this. If the mods are too busy to do this then recruit more mods so it can be done. That's my request anyway.

but you've got a counter balance... off the top of my head...

southampton away... repetitive occurrence of an empty ground at half time... going almost an entire calendar year at home without a win? spending a record number of day's in the bottom 3... the month of f***ing august year after year...

and that's all before you get to the conclusion that had been coming for the majority of the first 9 years, followed by the nail in the coffin 10th year?

There must have been dozens of posters who vehemently insisted Short had a plan to take the club into administration and 'thereby line his pockets' or whatever. Even logical replies by people who understand finance, such as @Grumpy Old Man, were dismissed out of hand by people who 'knew better'.

I suspect this is the reason for so many of these 'I bet there are hidden clauses from Short and we'll be paying him for years' threads.

I've seen people claiming all kinds of dirty tricks regarding the takeover that will come back to haunt us, they simply refuse to believe we're debt free.

FFS lads, just accept he's done the decent thing and has given us the chance to draw a line on the past. Going back over Short, Bain, Byrne, etc etc etc is destructive and part of the problem. It's often said, on here, that there's a self destructive attitude from people who just happy clap and accept shit ..... so why don't those people look on the bright side, for once, and accept this opportunity to rebuild the club in the right way, just a thought.

Clever post marra, bait for the masses in a way... Reminds me a little of the point I was trying to make in my ‘Will history be kind to Ellis Short’ thread - or whatever it was called. It will indeed be interesting to see what unravels as time unfolds. If we ever get to know the detail that is.

I didn't say that the automated system is adequate.

However you asked for an explanation and one was provided.

As you know you can pm me (or any mod online) if you wish to discuss a particular matter.

More general complaints or observations about the warning system are probably better directed at the gaffer.
