Another one gone from the League One days. Unfortunately for the likes of Roberts and co the club has moved on at a rate i dont think anyone really envisaged. These lads should all be welcomed back to the club in the future. Worked their arses off to contribute where we are today. Xhaka, Sadiki etc wouldnt have been possible without the likes of Roberts, Neil, Baath, Pritchard, Wright and others.

i think it was, but we had option to extend by 12 months.

That season with him and Amad off the right was genuinely some of the best football I've ever seen from a Sunderland team.

Have said before that he was an absolute shining light at a dark time for the club. Enjoyed watching him play even when we were dreadful. Helped drag us up the leagues with some big performances in big games.
