Patrick Roberts to Birmingham compendium

2 goals, only 1 of which was from open play, and 7 assists in 3,500 minutes of football last season.

That is not a good return for a player in a promotion winning side.

Just because he played a lot doesn't mean he was good. He played a lot because he the best of a bad bunch we had in that position.
Yet he was still our top assister last season. 2nd half of the season was asked to play a lot more defensively as well. Why didnt regis sign someone in january ,if he was that bad?

The only thing he struggled with was scoring goals, other than that he had a good season and played a huge part in getting us promoted
Aye,the amount of times he shoots into a defenders legs is frustrating. I think traore is a bit similar in that respect. Seems to do the same ,brings it inside on his left, then shoots weakly into a defender

The lack of goals in Roberts game is a huge flaw tbh, for an attacker to score so few isnt great. Traore is a weird one, goes from looking really good and dangerous to awful within the space of a few minutes

Although Traore has 94 club goals and 22 international goals so he must get it right sometimes.

Admittedly, you would never guess that from his performances to date for us.

On the other wing ELF has 11 career goals in 238 appearances. 6 of them came in one season under RLB at Lorient.

Maybe RLB thought he could get him going again but I would not be surprised to see ELF moved on in the summer. In the short term maybe Mundle can provide the goals ELF can’t.

He had a 5 minute spell against everton that was maradona-esque,then the next 5 mins he was slipping over all the time. Dunno what to make of him
I thought he was our best outfield player v Fulham. I like him but there's no doubt he's frustrating. Our best option to play wide right imo

Le Fee is quality, he'll be here for while yet

Definitley his best game. Long may it continue
im sorry traore is over rated, always slipping over or air / weak kicks.
Hopefully sign someone better
We seem to play with no attacking wingers anymore, just use overlapping full backs who arent as good as crossing
Taibi hardly gets any minutes .
The fulham game was awful,we hardly created anything and were going for a 0-0 draw

Yeah I’m struggling with that one , we were absolutely shite and no one played well traore had a weak effort on goal so maybe he gets a 6 instead of a 5/10

There will be a lot of posters on this board that will turn Roberts into a world beater as time passes.
He is playing at a level he should be at.
