Patrick Roberts to Birmingham compendium

Mad hes nearly 29 and only played 706 minutes in his career in a leagues that are viewed as elite.

For all his talent as a youngster, he definitely fell away. Will be known mostly for his time here reslly.

He’s playing at the right level with Birmingham, he served us well but the PL is a cut above and the three players you mention offer much more going forward in my opinion.

Simple logic here really, Roberts struggled against championship talent, where as all three of them are playing against far better talent, Tabli has done fine, Traore is hit and miss, Adingra hasn't had too many chances.

Traore gets better every game. He was only player that came out with any credit whatsoever in the first half v Fulham
Roberts always put in a shift, but I feel he lacks the physical attributes ( pace, strength and stamina ) for the premier league. On his day he is a delight to watch
Not saying Traore is be all and end all
As with others I am a fan of Talbi, but unsure whether RW is his best spot.

Will mid table Birmingham be wanting to sign him on a permanent contract in January? Will they even offer him a contract in the summer?
Computer says yes

Talbi who scored the winner against the World Club Champions who have just turned Barcelona over? Who was impressing in the Champions League last season? You’re suggesting Patrick Roberts who scored a single goal last season and is plying his trade with a mid-table Championship side?
To be fair Father, Roberts has the same amount of Champions League goals to his name as Talbi, from less games, and achieved them at the same (or perhaps even younger) age.

The lad is a bloody good footballer. None of the wingers we've brought in this summer have pulled up any trees. Adingra seemingly isn't fancied thus far. Talbi has one goal thus far and can't currently get into the team. Traore is improving but looks like he's going to be extremely hit and miss and has had his fair share of early criticism too (some absolutely embarrassing moments).

There's nothing at all to say that Roberts couldn't have been a useful squad option this season, and he's performing excellently at Brum (They love him). We chose to go for more athletic (height, speed) wingers in our summer acquisitions and that's fair enough in this league. But Roberts deserves a lot of praise for what he did for this football club, and would likely still be here (and Traore still at Ajax) if he'd been happy to sit on the bench. Fair play to him for wanting to get out and play more minutes.

Adingra hasn’t had a run of games yet and Talbi is obviously better. I like Roberts, he did a good job for us but we’ve moved on.

Unrelated to Roberts but putting the knars after every post is absolutely lifting crack.
Absolutely Old boy no true townie would use such an expression.

I believe that its use was/is more commonly found in the old coal mining settlements that are to the west of Sunderland but not quite in the depths of the West Durham coal field . Places like Hetton-le-Hole and Shiney Row approximately in the band that runs north /south just to the east of the A1M.

That's always been may take on it . It definitely Pitmatic. Anyone else got a view on it?

Love Patrick me but the last couple of years he just frustrated me. End product just not consistently good enough. He did however come up with the perfect pass when we needed it most.

I think we needed a change. I am worried that Traore doesn’t seem to have any more consistency though but he looks a better player IMO.
