What player in their right mind would want to be managed by Mourinho? He's become a miserable, depressing, self righteous prick. He blames everyone but himself.

Now the team are managed by someone who knows their club inside out, knows how fans expect them to play, seems tactically much better than people thought and most importantly knows how to treat players (or just people in general) with respect.

He should on performances be offered the job but I don't think he will be. He's not marketable enough for the owners.

In defence of Solskjaer, he has changed how they play, quite significantly. Isn't it the manager / coaches job to work out how to deploy players in a formation and with a strategy that optimises their chances of winning. He has done what Mourinho failed to do. This may be because Mourinho has an ego the size of Jupiter, as much as Solskjaer being a tactical genius, but, nonetheless, he's turned Mourinho's listless losers into vibrant victors.

A number of times when we have been looking for new managers his name cropped up and the response always seemed to be similar that we shouldnt go for a Rookie manager, that winning in a 2nd rate league like Norway didnt mean he would do well at a club as big as Sunderland. Thread below seems typical of the stuff that was written.

Hmmmm, that rookie doing his apprenticeship in Norway seems to be doing canny at one of the biggest club sin the world that prior to him arriving was utter dog shit.

Wonder how it would have turned out if we had signed him, he really does look like a quality manager.

My dog could manage that side.

All he's basically said to the squad is get the ball forward, don't be afraid to shoot and took the chains off Pogba.

I'm sure some of these managers try and make it look hard to try and justify their wages.

Nah. He's one of their golden boys. Brings the Fergie Feeling right back again. If he continues like this, there's no way he shouldn't be given the gig.
Imagine they got rid and the next fella did shite! There'd be blood.

Cardiff!! Remeber he has Mr Utd Terry Phelan there it was just a case of saying go and express yourself. Not sure it would have been a good fit here. Might of got some good loan deals but then Mrs Doubtfire signed some right ricks for us.

Basically a previously 2nd rate manager showing the chosen one how to set out a team with the talent available.

They're great to watch again, love quick counter attacking football.

Bit of Nostalgia and yeah he’s had a good run but he’s not a good manager historically. Phelan is the power behind the throne

Just another Di Matteo - galvanised the squad but it'll not last forever. Fair play to him, but they'd be idiots to give it to him full time.

I really hope they do though
