Basically publicly slagging off their most saleable asset here. They seem desperate to sell him.

Ashley would get slaughtered for this type of thing.

If they sell him, it will bring down the "Net Spend" substantially. I'm picturing a deadline day deal when it's too late to replace him

All the mags will be all over what a great deal it was, quoting FFP and ignoring that their owners haven't had a "net spend" anywhere near their lowest estimates.... and on a par with Ashley

If you’re looking for a clue as to what this deal says about NUFC and their supporters, look no further than the LIV golf tournament.

They’re the Phil Michelson of football. Odious, not very good and desperate for cash no matter where it’s coming from. Desperate people will accept anything it seems.

When the gold tournament folds and the sports clubs don’t fool people into thinking SA is better than it is they will walk away and it’s going to be very funny.

The deluded virgin on twitter likes to share tweets about our fans bet he keeps quiet about Newcastle fans making Nazi salutes.

Except it's not though, is it? Because the club are investing in the women's team, speaking out about discrimination in football etc.

That directly contradicts the Saudi culture. Look how pissed off the Saudis on Twitter get when the club posts something along those lines. I'm glad it upsets them
Willfully kidding yourself, not a moral among your fans.

Who’s going to tell him?

They are a joke

They blocked me on Twitter for replying to one of their tweets recently by saying something like “I thought United with Pride folded a year ago when you failed to speak out about your new owners” or something

Blocked me!

They’re a total joke of an organisation how anyone can take them seriously is baffling

To save you clicking on the link.....not been to a game in years, but gets so animated he gives a Nazi salute. Spurs first game back under new owners with Bruce still in charge - what an idiot. Nailed on he was at the ground on the night of the announcement!

Is Winlaton a hot bed for racism/anti-Semetism? Is anti-Semetism common in the support? Bazook is often throwing the word "Jew" around on the mag whenever I click an Exile link.

I often think that the non-match goers are the most angry, pro Saudi and anti-us. Not sure if I am right.

Mr Wesencraft said Asher is not a season ticket holder and last went to St James' park to watch Newcastle United when the club was still in the Championship. He said the defendant had bought ticket to attend the Spurs game, which was the first after the Newcastle owners took over.

Asher's solicitor said: "Everyone wanted a ticket. He was one who queued up and bought a ticket. It was a one-off attendance at St James' Park. I don't recall there was any violence or disorder at that game."

Mr Wesencraft argued that giving him a football banning order would not assist in preventing violence and disorder because he's not likely to be there. He said: "Mr Asher tells me he has no particular desire to go to football matches. He usually watches football on the television rather than go to the games themselves.

"Is he likely to do it again? No it's a moment of madness. Is he likely to do it again? No because he's not a season ticket holder. Is he likely to do it again? No because he doesn't really go to football matches. He's been to one in five years or so."
He will be a special guest on certain Nufc podcasts

A man who made a racist gesture during a Newcastle United home game has been banned from every football stadium in the UK.

Shay Asher, 24, made the gesture in the direction of away supporters during the Magpies’ Premier League fixture with Tottenham at St James’ Park on October 17 last year.

After the incident was witnessed by other spectators, Northumbria Police launched an investigation alongside Newcastle United in a bid to identify the person involved.

Asher, of Gibside View, Winlaton, admitted a racially aggravated public order offence when he appeared before magistrates in Newcastle in April and was fined.

He returned to the same court yesterday (Tuesday) for a further hearing where he was handed a football banning order that will run until 2025.

The order forbids Asher from attending any regulated football match in the UK, which includes Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two and National League fixtures, as well as England home internationals.

The banning order also prevents him from travelling abroad to watch international friendlies, qualification matches and tournaments.

Detective Inspector Gillian Beecroft, of Northumbria Police, said: “Hate crime of any kind within our communities will not be tolerated under any circumstances and I welcome the banning order handed down to Asher.

“In the North East, we have some of the most knowledgeable and passionate supporters in the entire country and the overwhelming majority of those who attend matches behave impeccably.

“However, when passions are high as was the case in this particular fixture, a small minority can let themselves down and ruin the spectacle for others. When that happens, it is important we use every tactic at our disposal to bring effective justice against them.

“I would like to thank everybody who assisted throughout this investigation, especially Newcastle United who have worked closely with us to ensure this case was brought to court.

“We are proud of the fantastic relationship we have with football fans across the North East and will continue to work with all our clubs and supporter groups to ensure matches can be enjoyed by everyone.”

Asher was fined £200, as well as ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge, after admitting the racially aggravated offence at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on April 27.

His banning order now comes into immediate effect.

Same way they’ve invested in their ladies team

“Saudi Arabia can’t be one of the lowest-ranked countries on the if they support Women’s football over here!”
We had a presentation at work the other day where someone from the global marketing team was banging on about how great it is that we’re doing business in the Middle Eastern region as it’s very lucrative and we can make loads of money from it 🙄

At the end when she asked for questions I piped up and said “a lot of these countries have poor records in relation to human rights, against women and homosexuals for example. What due diligence is done before we begin doing business with these and how does it fit in with our ESG frameworks?”

Her answer directly referenced the PIF organisation, saying that they have actually got females on their board of directors because they’re really trying hard to change.

I since looked it up and they don’t have any female board members. Just 9 fellas. They have 2 females in their executive management team of 13: head of compliance, and general secretary to the board.

Thankfully I made my mind up a while ago that I don’t want to be working there much longer and the above has cemented my decision

And that, gentlemen, is how sportswashing works
Is it? So when I find myself disgusted by the homophobic Saudi reactions on Twitter to my club supporting Pride month, that constitutes sports washing working on me?

Isn't it supposed to work in the opposite way? Like, my opinion of Saudi culture would raise instead of fall?

I think you're going to have to show your working on this one, because your take on it makes absolutely no sense at all. Would love to know how you got there

Knew it would make it on the virgins page

Just so we're clear you don't see the hypocrisy in criticising someone who copies comments from one social platform to the other and you trawling twitter day after day and posting tweets on here?

But that is what is happening. Previously you might have opposed 100% of Saudi fascism. Where as now, you are a dedicated supporter of a small % of the state.
