Old one but jessssuez
aye we were relegated the season the fees were just starting to go ridiculous werent theyIt's scary how far removed we are from this world of transfer fees. Our record transfer is 16 mil and that would barely purchase a decent player these days
Realistically if you get drawn against a top 6 club early doors you won't be giving the cup a real go.I am a Mag. I am against MBS owning the club and, despite what the Govt and EPL have decided to believe, he does own us.
His acceptance by those who are happy is purely down to money. Our owner demonstrates no other redeeming quality than a bottomless wallet.
I actually thought, in the main, that Ashley was not as bad as many others did. He made mistakes, some of them howlers, but we were financially sound. Looking at other clubs then surely the long term security of the club is more important than signing more players than we were, although we did spend a fair bit just not particularly well.
Do you think those who are happy with the new regime, having gotten rid of Ashley, will still be happy if we are a stable mid-table team in 5 years. No relegation flirtations, no trophies (highly likely in my opinion), giving the Cups a real go but not signing 'superstars'?
I doubt it.
Isak looked great the season before last, but really struggled last. £60m is a mental fee for 32 goals in 3 seasons.
They’d be better going after Toney.
Its practically a different sport at that level. It's scary how far removed we are from this world of transfer fees. Our record transfer is 16 mil and that would barely purchase a decent player these days

In the last 9 years the league cup had been won by Man City 6 times. The other teams to win it are Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool.
In the same period the FA Cup has been won by Arsenal 4 times, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd and Leicester once each.
So out of 18 winners, 17 top 6 sides have won the cup. Even Spurs who are way better than you lot currently haven't managed to win a cup final.
A lot but he's a good player from what I've seen. You must be logged on to see external links
Surely this is a wind-up, £58 million for this lad, the world has gone mad!
I think not. They could perhaps reach the final, plenty do but then they hit a big hitter. Like we did in 2016.They'll win a League cup over the next 3-5 years or so you feel. A few lucky draws can get you to a semi final quite easily especially fielding full strength sides. That first trophy is always the hardest to win mind. Of course it'll have a dirty great Asterisk beside it.

Man City take the cups very seriously and have a large talented squad.
That'll be his buy out clause that they'll have met, which is common with La Liga playersYou must be logged on to see external links

Those totally unrealistic buy out clauses, the same as Chris Wood'sThat'll be his buy out clause that they'll have met, which is common with La Liga players
Reported his buyout is 90m but they've accepted this. That'll be his buy out clause that they'll have met, which is common with La Liga players
I, but when Saudi Aramco can trouser $48 billion for 3 months trading its peanuts10m a goal for his last season. Absolutely mental transfer fee.
