You tot up the good vs the bad and it's obvious to all but the most partisan observer that Ashley has been bad for Newcastle United. He even admits it himself. It's only really Sunderland fans (and tedious wind up merchants) who rate him as anything but a negative for Newcastle United.

We used to be regulars in Europe, regulars in the top half, regularly progressing the domestic cups. Now we're regularly fighting relegation, twice succumbing to it, just 1 season in Europe, rarely getting past the first cup fixture. Plus, we're still in debt, still had no real investment in the club's youth system or training ground and still failing to make any waves on the commercial side of things.
You missed out regularly won fuck all.

What's your definition of shit? Premier League football, a world class manager (in the Mags eyes), European football, 2 Championhup seasons winning lots of games, millions spent on players and the media blowing smoke up your arses. I'll bet our experience has been shitter than yours matey boy

Your experience has been shitter than ours.
You missed out regularly won fuck all.
Most teams in the pyramid won fuck all, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How does it show they hate Newcastle? Btw. it's from 2005. Go on Grand Old Team and you'll see pure hatred towards Geordies.
Everton absolutely despise Newcastle with a passion. I think it’s as they are best mates with Sunderland.

Several Liverpool fans saying they dislike Geordies and Newcastle. Pretty simple really 😂

Ashley has far from been bad for Newcastle.
Your own bias and many like you, keep that going.
The whiners have been bad for Newcastle. They almost created a poisoned chalice when their dummies were spat out.

FFS man the delusion is incredible

Regardless of whether he is or isn’t, it is more hope on your behalf because it doesn’t suit your agenda. With that in mind how would you rate @Sabre Mag for one as he appears objectionable where Newcastle is concerned?
No objectionable mags exist. I’ve never met one.

No, not weird behaviour. I see it differently to those who jumped on a hate bandwagon and allowed it to fester into frenzied proportions.
It’s obvious you are man

What? How have League 1 Ipswich pissed all over Newcastle?
Last point young one , it took a brunch of carrot crunches to pay for ( we the supporters did that - remember there only 3 of us and the now dead cat) to pay for statue of SBR that and rename the New stand

We also had the dignité to wait for your arrival to do the honours

What did the Mags for him ? Rejected him ( yr loss 20 caps ) and sacked him - we might be small and we are , but we try to be décent.

I'm not sure if Lady Robson was more pissed off with you or us ( centre circle)

Yr too young for the last point

Ashley is only interested in protecting his "asset" so he puts money in when he is in danger of decreasing the value of his asset through relegation. He leaves it too late a lot of the time and gambles on a January transfer window to bail him out.

The last few windows have been strange and have gone against everything he stood for & fans used this lack of spending as a way to beat him down. Now he's splashing out big money every transfer window and signing players over a certain age with PL experience. Tbh these are exactly the type of signings they need and they will be comfortable this season.

He's not a progressive chairman and therein lies the problem. Newcastle fans want a chairman with ambition.

Problem is he can't afford to compete as he said in his interview, so they must now put up with treading water in the league until he is bought out whenever that may be.

I would say he is an average at best owner with little interest in fans concerns & protests, all he cares about is the money which he is entitled to do so as owner.

Of course it will be, to you and others who follow a different line of thought.
You are entitled to think what you want about me in any way shape or form. I'll be fine with it..............but............it doesn't change my stance on what I believe.

Mike Ashley has done a lot more good than people are willing to admit. However, it's been tarnished by the mistakes and lies he's made over the time...something most, if not all owners do...but like I said before, once you scorn some fans you walk on egg shells unless you offer them the earth....or else.

A big numb frenzy borne out of dummy spitting.

Of course he cares about money. He's a multi billionaire who wants to see his businesses grow.
As for not being an ambitious owner. What exactly does that mean?

Does it mean buying expensive players on mammoth wages that can break the club if it doesn't work out?
Or is it trying to build a squad capable of competing at the top whilst staying financially secure?

What exactly is ambition in football, just so it's clear?
