Said at the time that I hoped Bruce done better than Benitez. Didn't think he would though. Still too early to say, but it has been a surprise so far.
Think it's ultimately unsustainable not having goals from your forwards. 1 goal from 3 forwards 14 games into the season is alarming. See how it goes over the nexr few weeks and then if Ashley sanctions any improvements in January.

The new thing is apparently they aren't 4 points better off than at the same stage last year because the side in 18th place has 3 more points than they did this time last year. This means they are in fact only one point better off. Incredible.

Its the amazing new Bruce strategy - DFAB - defend from the front/attack from the back.

Total fitba.

The reason there are so many posters is there is no decent Newcastle forums, most have half a dozen posters or no one posts for days at a time. Why would someone during a home game against the champions log on to a rivals forum and post? There is a lot wrong at the moment but this is head and shoulders above any other site

Who has said this?

You're right like. Stack up all of Benitez' achievements in the game vs all of Bruce's and they're the same. Listen to all the fans of clubs that the two men have managed and they are all effusive in the praise of both men equally.

You lemon.
Aye because Bouncy is loved at all his old clubs

Tidied for you mate

A few pages worth from there.

Also now features accusations that praising Bruce is somehow xenophobic

It's a bit of a daft argument which I can't really get my head around. Suppose its like saying we done better in 18/19 than 17/18 because we got more points in 18/19 despite finishing lower in the table.
Found that forum too hard to read and gave up after a page.

Bruce usually does OK in his first season at a club. It then goes to pot in the following seasonm

Loads on here since he was appointed tbf.

The mental gymnastics is at such a point where you have some actively wanting us to win games as if it somehow proves that Bruce is a better manager than Benitez when the common consensus is that he usually falls apart in the second half of the season whereas Benitez's results in the second half of the last two seasons went on an upward trajectory

I look forward to it. Benitez' teams tend to fair better in thelatter stages of the season, whereas I've been told by folk on here that the opposite is true for Bruce.

re: Sheffield they're playing well and will be full of confidence. If we can keep them out, I'm not convinced we can score past them. Unless one of our defenders fanices it.

Great start for uncle Steve
