What did you expect Allardyce to do in his short time here? Win the f***ing league? He came in with 3 points from 8 games and a squad that wasn't his (and was pretty shit and no clue what they were doing). He bought players in the window which made our team far better and we survived. I do think if he had of stayed he would have outperformed Bruce (who I don't think is a bad manager (just shit training)) and built on the team he was creating. Bruce cannot help himself creating teams and then ripping them apart so he can go on a spending spree again, till it falls apart.

Where else has he done that?
Never really took much interest in his career and not bothered to analyse his transfer dealings vs performances

You’ve just called joelinton shit but now he’s part of £60m worth of talent?

Make your mind up.

Rondon was better than joelinton, Bruce is doing better win an inferior cf.

Fergie had Man Utd as a well drilled team who had just won the league, did moyes sustain that team? No. Bruce is sustaining Newcastle though, actually he’s improved them by 7 points. Miracle
Where've I said Joelinton was shit like?

He cost £40m and he's a good player. Rondon was a better fit for Benitez's style of play but unfortunately wasn't match fit until the Watford game some 9 or 10 games into the season.

It's way too early to say Bruce is sustaining anything. He's doing a decent job and has got some good results, but let's not pipe him off just yet eh? I'd also point out that he's inherited a well drilled defensive unit that's more experienced in the Premier League and has wisely used that as a foundation. Took him too many games to understand that mind you, but fair play to him if it continues.

Incredible.
The spite towards Newcastle here is embarrassing. Fair play to Steve Bruce, he always appeared a gentleman to me.

How does a NUFC thread have over 500 posts! Just let it go folks, this obsession. It is all in the past.

Listened to a David Dunn interview today.
Dunn picked up an injury n was a bit sick, Bruce told him to have a weeks blowout in Magaluf. Just about sums up his credentials.
Hear him whining about getting the sack at villa just then, then trots out this line “If poch can get the sack anyone can”.
Ferk me he loves feeling sorry for himself.

He wasnparising Villa the other day, the same time as coming out with some shit about needing a Police escort from our ground to his house.
Aye, we're well known for our Motorbike riding hitmen.

He moonlights as a volunteer for The Samaritans.

Poor bloke is always the victim.

I wasn't a big Bruce-outter at the time, but he's done nothing but kill his credibility in the aftermath of his sacking.

Another result for Bruce. What a season he is having. It kills you to admit he’s no worse than rafa. Embarrassing the way you faen after him. Uncle Steve what a great manager

You're right like. Stack up all of Benitez' achievements in the game vs all of Bruce's and they're the same. Listen to all the fans of clubs that the two men have managed and they are all effusive in the praise of both men equally.

You lemon.

We’ve clearly been talking about comparing the job rafa did at Newcastle to the job Bruce is now doing. That’s been evident since the first post I made. Thick as whale spunk you kid.

Grasp onto rafas past achievements all you want, he achieved nothing remarkable at Newcastle. 4 points better off at this stage than last season. Bruce the miracle worker

He deserves credit for some of the results and performances, and criticism for the losses and embarrassing shifts. Just as Benitez did.

Shall we hold off on sucking Bruce's cock until the end of his tenure at Newcastle? Or at least until the end of the season.

Lose against Southampton and Newcastle are back in trouble mind

Wel continue this merry dance on a week by week basis thanks. Let’s see if bruceys 4 point lead can be overhauled. Long way to go yet. Tough game away to Sheffield United next. I’m going for 1-1

Agreed, it’s fun to see those who slated Bruce without giving him a chance squirm though

I look forward to it. Benitez' teams tend to fair better in thelatter stages of the season, whereas I've been told by folk on here that the opposite is true for Bruce.

re: Sheffield they're playing well and will be full of confidence. If we can keep them out, I'm not convinced we can score past them. Unless one of our defenders fanices it.

Are you saying it is fun (your words) to see Newcastle get decent results because you enjoy the fact a section of their support underestimated him? You enjoyed them drawing with Manchester City?

I am not sure you mean that! If you do it seems your preoccupation with Newcastle is affecting your judgement.
