Sadly I think itll make the 12 even worse. Shoppers, stag doos, hen doos n fans on 2 carriages ffs.

Generally drive it or 1pm now.

I got my ticket checked on the 10.35 from Boro.

Just leaving for Hartlepool now.

All seats taken. But plenty of standing room.
Train update - just left Hartlepool.

People standing up & down the carriage.

Good luck the Seaham lot 👍

Another fun day on the Northern trains today by the looks of it ....

The 07:48 Grand Central service from London Kings Cross to Sunderland has been cancelled due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time.

That service usually takes away a few northern passengers too.

@KENT-FTM who would've been on the cancelled GC, has just kindly let me know of the cancellation.
It'll be the 11:05 rattler out of British West Hartlepool for me. ☹

Grand Central are now advising to travel to the station to then find out what your options are if you’re travelling from Hartlepool or Eaglescliffe. Absolute joke!!!

Surely passengers should be entitled to know their journey before they depart

If GC cannot provide a good and reliable service, they should scrap it altogether.

I normally travel to games via Ncl but booked GC due to Metro maintenance, now having to travel via Ncl. Last time I used GC train ended up in Ncl due to fuel problems, needs sorting. May as well drive up, putting extra car on road with one person in it. Quicker and more comfortable.
 
I live near the lines n bairns footys right under them. Seen 2 GCs bolted together last night with about ten carriages for some reason. I wont have them dissed like, lovely staff and theyve saved me thousands in the last decade.
What pisses me off is northern sunday trains at 10 n 11 are always 4 carriages with no fecker on!

Staff not a problem, reliability is.

When I arrived in Newcastle yesterday, all the Metros going to the airport were held up because a GC train had broken down in Sunderland station. I did go back on a GC train once. Never again. Rolling stock decades past its sell by date. If I need to get home via London for any reason, it's LNER every time.
