The bus I’ve got on from stockton / Billingham works out as £15.30 each if it was full (29 seats) and I imagine that’s a much bigger coach they’re doing. I obviously make £0 and just put it on for the lads at cost.

You're right, no way they are going be able to get any number of Boro to St Peter's for 14:40.
With it being a scheduled train holding it back would be difficult.
They won't be able to hold it in a siding somewhere as it will have other passengers on board and holding it at St Peters would back up the Metros.
