Give it a couple of years and we'll be able to start a 'League football' thread

Whilst eagerly awaiting who we get in the FA Trophy 1st Round draw.
.

Just listening to 5 Live Sport there, Rob Green asked to pick his favourite England goalkeeper of all time & he selects Woking’s Laurence Batty as he was the semi pro number one for a while back in the 90s

Another cracking non league away day with a hard fought 2-1 win for Shields yesterday.
Absolutely vital win. The squad is quite depleted with Gillies, Daly out until Christmas and Shaw out with a knock. Gilchrist is a top draw striker and hitting form but Shields need to strengthen in midfield and up front. Great win nevertheless 🏆

Incredible crowds. Spenny had 1300 plus against Southport and Gateshead crowds are up despite demotion. Every team in Northern League div 1 up apart from Bishops. And Morpeh are drawing 600 plus. Remarkable

Gateshead crowds look very similar to last year to me. I think last season the ownership and the attendances were intrinsically linked

Granted there is not much difference and crowds dipped at the back end of last season with the ownership situation but overall average gates are up this season. Gateshead considering their league position are drawing decent crowds compared to previous seasons but are obviously at a disadvantage as they do not have their own ground. The advantage of watching non league is being close to the pitch. At Gateshead there is a massive restriction.

I think you misunderstood what I meant tbh. The declared attendances last season were nowhere near accurate.
