Nissan

Haven’t a clue Bonny lad
Detailed here. Ranges from oil change to engine replacement. It all hinges on debris from shagged bearings being found in the sump. Hopefully will be a tiny proportion of cars that need the full works.

Probably one of the many faults that arrise with manufacturers crazy long service schedules they recommend. Thats when things started to go bad with cars. 15-20k oil changes are motoring suicide.

Change my oil every 8k miles & the filters.
Got 370k out of my last Passatt..

Keep the engine right, everything else can be repaired.

You wouldn't believe the amount of drivers that probably haven't ever had an oil change done. Only started doing that when I was able to afford something above a shiter.

Couple of rumours kicking around the shop floor... 1. Hour and a half overtime in backs with a 3k sweetener
2. Only getting paid a time and a third for overtime and a 3k sweetener

Glad overtime and cash is spilling around for workers 😎…… but how come as sales of Nissan are down and others mentioned on here they are over staffed in the Sunderland plant?

Because sales are down we dropped a shift, but kept the staff. Not enough cars for old shift pattern, too many for this shift pattern.

90 mins overtime we heard and scrapping of overtime being banned on Fridays too. They can go fuck themselves if they try to get that in. They’ll have the lines working overtime everyday

Exactly. If this happens I can see it being the end as they’ll have constant overtime on, people will end up leaving. A cheap way of reducing the workforce

That’s what they want, they don’t need to attract people or want to keep people therefore it doesn’t have to be an attractive place to work! Has there ever been a strike?

I won't be surprised if they offer you pop-up tents to bunk share 1 tent for 2 people 1 from shift à and other from shift b.

And charge you rent to pop it up in the car park
