Next season's kit

They don't design our kits from scratch though, they just give us template kits and hoy our badge on it. At the most they'll make minor details.

Only the elite clubs get custom designs.
Doesn't need to be custom to not be rubbish. Some of the template designs that get hoyed up on here are miles better than anything we ever get.

I seriously don't know why any Sunderland fan would want any kit with black as it's dominant colour, especially with white stripes on it as well.

Black Cats
Looks nowt like a mag top (unless they own the colour black now)
Looks cool as fuck (imo)

There are three reasons.

Saying that I remember a few on here getting their knickers in a twist that we had black and white sections on our 2014 blue away kit so I'm not all that surprised.

Its still predominantly black and white

Remember when we had the black Lonsdale kit there were rumours that the mags had hijacked the poll to make us play in black and white. Nowt to do with the fact it was the smartest kit out of the 3 options to choose from. Word got back to the club, so they changed the white bits to silver.

Was a strange kit deal that one. It was with sports direct not an actual manufacturer. Originally they were acting as a agent/distributor for Diadora but then they fell out so had to resort to using their own Lonsdale brand instead. Affected a few others such as Birmingham as well as us.

Then Keane wasn't impressed with the overall look and quality of Lonsdale so he got drumaville to end the contract early and sign with Umbro instead.

Bradord and Palace have had some decent ones recently with Avec. I'd quite like a deal with them. They're related to Nike in a way aren't they?

I'm not 100% certain but I think they're a Nike team wear distributor so if they sign a kit deal with lower league clubs they have the option of using Nike or their own Avec stuff. Lower clubs will announce it as a Nike kit deal but it's actually with avec who buy in template stuff and the add the badges and sponsors.

Sounds good to me

That black one looked like a bin bag and the home ones like knock offs you'd get in Turkey. Tacky shiny shite.
