If we're going by the full kit, going by my design I reckon we'd probably have white or red shorts, somewhat like this lot, coincidentally, in the 80s

I have already replied earlier about that le coq sportif strip. It showed the total disconnect between the club and the fans at the time during the Cowie erea.
That is not a Sunderland strip it's a shocker and it was an absolute disgrace that the team ever wore it.
Its just an all white shirt with red shorts.
Try looking at the seasons before for a template that was an excellent Umbro strip, the one in this photo is a disgrace.
