This summer could be an interesting crossroads for the kit. If we go back to the traditional template (e.g red sleeves one year and white the next, with stripes front and back) most of us will be happy enough but the kit may not sell loads if it just repeats the format.

On the other hand, if we go for something quite different, most of us could hate it but those who like it will go out and buy it. So we could end up with a less popular kit that sells better.

For me, the away kit or preferably the third kit should be the experimental one, but who knows. I just hope we don't end up looking like Sheffield United.

They don't design our kits from scratch though, they just give us template kits and hoy our badge on it. At the most they'll make minor details.

Only the elite clubs get custom designs.
