Newcastle Won't Survive.

The few times I seen them they looked like they tried too get it forward to quickly.

It's my take on it, right or wrong and we'll see how they get on soon enough.

They'll be fine. After all, the club is creating a new singing section which holds 350 fanatics. The electric atmosphere generated will see them cruise up the Premier League.

I reckon your couple of times is a lot less than resident mags who will have watched a lot more and seemed to be openly crititcal of Benitez overly defensive safe style of play

Looking at the business some of the lesser teams are doing and the strength of the teams already established in the league, coupled with the fact Benitez is struggling with signings... They don't have a chance of staying up!

If you look at that squad there are only a few players who are actually premier league quality. Despite the difference in league I'd actually rather have our squad than theirs.

We have a lot more promising youngsters than them, as our academy is really starting to come good by the looks of things.

But even the bigger name signings we have a lot more money's worth than they have in their side; Lens, Kone, Khazri etc who we still have to sell off.

Even with them gone I'd still rather have this squad SG is building than what the mags currently have under Ashley and the waiter.

Fuck me, if you'd rather have our squad than any in the Premier League - even Brighton - you're off your tits mate. I hope in a month's time that is not the case, but you would have to be the biggest happy clapper in history to think the assorted homeless lads we have playing for us today are a good bet for the future.

As for them, I don't care. It'd be nice for them to struggle a bit because you know it'd be funny. but let's be honest, that division was shite last year beyond 7th place. Southampton, West Brom, Stoke, Palace, Swansea, Huddersfield, Brighton, Watford, Burnley... I think it's a bit of a form lottery unless you do what Moyes did and build a squad of complete f***ing knackers who can barely pass 10 yards. Even then, we had a chance around Christmas if we'd have had maybe 1-2 better players. That's how fine the margins are, so writing Newcastle off is daft at this stage.

I don't know. With the traditional top 6 all having Europe and no real relegation favourites, I think they've a decent chance of staying up. That said, I don't think it'll be for very long maybe 3-4 seasons at best.

Of course, that could vary depending on the outcome of that fraud investigation...

I'm not sure you'll find a post where I said I watched them every week mind.

Based on what I had seen and how they played, I said you'll get dicked every week in the premier league unless Rafa has a shot load of money to spend.

Disagree all you want but I still think it to be the case.

I'm sure the 4 or 5 of you can explain to me what the Newcastle way of playing is then if I've got it wrong.
Pragmatic, control of possession, efficient strikeforce, counter attack.

Founded first and foremost on a strong defensive shape.

What a load of shite, I have a feeling this is just another mag pretending to be a Sunderland fan

Probably posted it on a mags forum pointing out how "deluded" we are

Spending a lot of money is not a guarantee of avoiding relegation. Spending your money wisely is a better idea.

Nice, I must have missed those games as I seen nothing but scrappy football but as many have said on here you watched them week in and week out so I have to take that into account.

Can only comment on what I seen and it didn't look like that style of football was getting played.

Totally agree but that's where having a title winning manager comes in isn't it?

No, just that you and your mates have decided that the style of play you erroneously describe as Newcastle's style of play would see us relegated.

That's like me saying if Sunderland keep trying to play rugby they'll get men sent off and they'll go down.
