Where are all the resident mags? They always have an opinion on all things Newcastle. It would be interesting to hear their take on this rumour

This has legs. Mike won't offer what Rafa wants regarding transfer funds and that could see him leave.

No, but where he saves money in lack of transfer budget, he can give Rafa wages. Its only when it is obvious they are struggling, Rafa speaks up (despite knowing the crack), the numpties start chanting his name and backing him, which forces Mike to offer him revised terms and a new deal and more money in wages

Rafa would be crackers to leave them

This is a man who broke their transfer record on someone from the mls who makes no assists and scores no goals. Fans still love him for it too. It’s hilarious. Hope he stays forever.

Not sure I do like. I think he does pretty well with that squad and someone else wouldn’t do as well with what Ashley is prepared to spend. I’d rather someone else came in and they went down personally

Eh? Can we? How’s that like
because the billioanire psraying cash type owners are gone-they are all run like businesses now-in truth-there was a time at the start of our run in the prem/..when spurs werent that far ahead of us..we spent loads in subsequent years-but were mismanaged-while they were well managed...
they are in the champions league final having spent fuck all..

I wish I had fuck all! They’ve spent millions albeit they spent nowt last season. Also they were already established as one of the top teams after redknapp to be fair to him built a decent side. Off the top of my head sissoko was 35m son about 30m Lucas mora about the same. Davidson Sanchez was over 25m and that Dutch bloke about 20m. This was a few years ago so some of those fees were huge even if they are not that huge now

they havent signed a player for 18 months..they literally spent less this season and last season than we did..all of their rivals spent more..
when we joined the prem-were they that far ahead of us?
we had the eight highest wage bill in the prem and spunked fortunes on shite-they spunked fortunes then-but not on shite..

That’s what I mean, they are in a good place and he’s a good manager.

But think they are hard done by! It’s insane

Are you nuts - they broke their transfer record 4 months ago :D

Don’t get me wrong I agree with you they are a well run club and seem to trade well. However on the wider point about clubs starting from a lower base than spurs have and becoming one of the top teams I’m not so sure mate. I still think you need significant financial clout behind you if you want to enter that top 6

you do need significan clout-but not on the level of previous years-because prem clubs make a profit now-so the signings can be self financing to a large extent..and one advantage safc has is-it already has the stadium-lots of clubs potential is capped because they will need a bigger ground at some point-safc isnt one of them..
