People must spend their lives in states of panic if that fills people with dread. Ifs, buts and maybes all over the place there.

Was only two games ago on here many were saying we have got absolutely no chance of being promoted. In fact our midweek win was apparently lucky according to this place.

First things first, get the deal done. Then see what actual cash is about. We ended up in league one under a billionaire after all.

It's frightening how obsessed they are. It's hot worse as we have tumbled down the leagues too, which is bizarre. They even took the 4-0 cup defeat badly ffs LOL.

When I put something similar to a couple of mags at work it's apparently because they care about their club more than we do ours, they have more ambition than us and their club has much more potential.

I just burst out laughing.

Given a choice between us and them at the moment we’re actually a far better investment proposition.

You can either a) spend 350 million on a Premier League club, and spend tens of millions just to make minor improvements on their league position.

Or, b) you can spend 50 million on a club of similar size and level of infrastructure and then spend maybes at most, 20 million next season to ensure promotion from the Championship. From there, you have a club you’ve spent 70 million on, who will make at least 100 million quid even if you don’t spend a penny after that and they finish bottom of the Premier League.

Which has greater potential for return on your investment?
