Saint Etienne's new album is good (sort of ambient indiepop).
The Unthanks' Chritmas album is fun for a month (well, austere Victorian era rural Northumberland fun anyway).
The Tarwater album that came out a while back, but I didn't realise as it only got reviewed in the latest Uncut, is exceptional if you like your post rock slightly electronic with deadpan vocals.
From last week, aside from the Cameron Winters album, which I agree with @James about, White Denim's album is incredibly accessible (whatever that means) and the Chikiss album is weirdly marvellous (largely icy Russian vocals with synthy stuff beneath).
I have high hopes of Straw Man Army based on the new Uncut CD but yet to listen to the album.
